Fletcher had a great tournament that year, but let's be honest Fletcher would not have made any difference against Xavi, Iniesta and Busquet in that Barcelona midfield. Fergie said after the that "we missed Fletch", a comment i didn't agree with. I remember that comment generated a lot of argument at the United forum back then, but the truth is Xavi in that midfield made Barcelona almost invincible. Barcelona struggled to replicate that tikitaka style after Xavi left......

United was not doing well in the League or europe before he came in, yet he won the Europa League in his first season. Same Mourinho won the treble with FC Porto, came to Chelsea and won them the EPL in his first season after 50 years. He went to Inter and won them the scudetto in his first season and the treble in his 2nd season which included the UCL after 45 years. He won the Carabao Cup and Europa League in his first Season at United and you celebrated it like every other United fans worldwide. Hate him all you want, Mourinho is a winner and has won trophies at every club he has managed since his FC Porto days.
