Different versions of the story emerging... I don't know which to believe again. This lady self i doubt her innocence. A decent lady can never involve herself in such an illicit act which is capable of ruining her future. She'd rather quit the contest. Why didn't she cry out until it was late. Youthful juvenile and exuberance had damaged a lot of dreams, sent many to their early grave. I'm sorry for her if she was truly compelled to do that, otherwise let her bear her cross whether it was committed prior to the contest or not.

Have you considered that she may have been drugged....that people (older,richer, more powerful) may have exploited her greed for whatever...money, standing, just whatever?
All these and you still need her to be punished? Why?
She could be an angel who has this one weakness, or two, or more ( acts) ....she could be respectful, loyal, funny, fun to be with, a joy to every one who knows her, obedient, very loving....and you want her punished in that dear "angel without sin" tone
