Sports / REVEALED! Pogba & Lukaku Fight After Man United Win Over Southampton by Trendme: 12:22pm On Mar 05, 2019
Manchester United team-mates Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku, were involved in a bust-up after their win over Southampton this weekend, UK Sun reports.

Lukaku netted a brace in the 3-2 victory, but had the chance to complete his hat-trick late on.

But Pogba opted to take the penalty and saw his effort saved.

The victory was enough for United to leapfrog Arsenal to move back into fourth place, but it did allegedly spark a dressing room row between Lukaku and Pogba.

It is believed that Lukaku was disappointed that Pogba took the penalty against the Saints as he was on a hat-trick at the time.

The Belgian reportedly reminded Pogba that he supported him during the difficult Jose Mourinho period.

He also allegedly told him that had the roles been reversed, he would have let him take the penalty to complete his hat-trick.

Politics / Breaking: INEC declares Ogun East Senatorial election inconclusive by Trendme: 9:13am On Feb 25, 2019
The Ogun East Senatorial District election has been declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission .

The Returning Officer for the district , Prof. Chris Nwoka made the declaration in Ijebu-Ode on Monday .
Before the declaration the APC had a total of 84,929 votes, while the PDP polled 82,457 votes from results so far collated from nine local government areas.

There was chaos in the hall as Nwoka was about to declare the APC senatorial candidate, Senator Mustapha Olalekan winner over his closest rival, Sosanwo Ayoola of the PDP.

The PDP supporters protested against the results, lamenting the cancellation of results in Ward 10, Ajebandele, in the Ijebu East Local Government Area of the state.

They said the total number of voters in the ward exceeded the difference between the two leading parties.

It was gathered that the entire ward results were cancelled because the number of voters in one of the units exceeded the number of accredited voters.

It was gathered that the confusion would be sorted out at Abeokuta office of the commission, where all the broadsheets had been taken to.

Meanwhile, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Ijebu Central, Ogun State, Korede Osunsanya, has been declared winner of the House of Representatives election.

Osunsanya polled 25,608 votes to beat his closest rival, Taiwo Shote of the Peoples Democratic Party, who had 21,775 votes.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Michael Ozoje, declared the APC candidate winner on Monday amidst jubilation by his supporters at Itoro, Ijebu Ode, the collation centre for the senatorial district.

Gabriel Onabajo of the ADC polled 2,597 votes; Anthony Ogunbayo of the ADP polled 2418 votes, while Giwa Kolashade of the APM polled 533 votes.

Politics / Lagos INEC yet to receive results 24 hours after by Trendme: 7:29am On Feb 25, 2019
ELECTION observers, the media, agents of political parties, stakeholders have besieged the Lagos State Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, collation centre, Yaba, for announcement of results of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.

As early as 10 am, yesterday, the collation centre, prepared for the collection and announcement of results from collation officers, COs from Local Government started getting busy with movement of people anxious for the results..

As at 6 pm the commission was still awaiting the official results from it’s collation officers from most of the local government areas.

Though, at press time, some collation officers were seen with the election materials, also awaiting for the commencement of the exercise.

Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Sam Olumekun, who came out to plead with obviously anxious and tired audience, said announcement will commence as soon more results come in.

When reached to find out what was responsible for the delay, Public Relations officer of the commission, Mr. Femi Akinbiyi, said the commission was ready and would soon commence the process as soon as sizeable number of results were ready.

He confirmed that as at 7 pm, only three collation officers out of the 20 expected were ready for presentation.

Some of the personalties who arrived early, included Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Mr Tunji Bello, All Progressives Congress, APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Mr Femi Hamzat, former Minister of Defence, Demola Seriki, among others.

Politics / 2 APC candidates chasing one Senatorial seat in Niger by Trendme: 7:21am On Feb 25, 2019
Supporters of All Progressives Congress, APC, who trooped out to vote for candidates of their choice on Saturday are still confused over who they voted for out of the two candidates of APC vying for the same post.

However, incumbent Senator David Umaru (Niger East Senatorial District) has maintained that he remained the authentic and only recognised candidate of the party.

Speaking with journalists after casting his vote, Umaru said despite the ruling of the Federal High Court Abuja, which recently declared his challenger, Sani Musa, as the authentic candidate of APC, he remained the only flag bearer of the party.

According to him, “it is expedient to let you know that I cast my vote on Saturday for myself as Niger East Senatorial candidate of my great party, APC and I, David Umaru, is the candidate. All the noise you hear about it is just rumour that does not exist.

“In reality my name was forwarded by the party to INEC and everything that happened after is putting something on nothing. The decision of the court has been appealed. The Federal High Court is court of first instance and until we go through to the final court of jurisdiction, statu quo remains.”
