Hey gurus, so after the January visa delay.
I know some of us opted for priority….
I have done my biometrics and I received an NSF email from UKVI scheduling for an interview and after the interview…. The mailed requesting additional documents (Source of Funds) same day which I submitted over two weeks ago.

It’s a priority visa …I’m wondering why it’s taking this long
Has anyone submitted any documentation recently?

My dear these guys are continuing from their January delay, mine is entering 30 working days now , no additional documents request, no interview invite nothing, the only thing nah unable to decide email since June 3rd nah to dey look them

It was standard. But regretted it though. Should have used priority, because the school offered to pay for it at the initial offer before they deferred it June. So we thought the offer will no longer be available due to a new deferred CAS and just opted for standard as there was ample time from 5/5/2026 till school start date June 15. But little did we know that it was like a case of "penny wise, pound foolish". Not like we can't afford it on our own, but you know na, you want to save money in every step of the way.
The letter was sent by UKVI June 16, after a paid general inquiry was made to them with a strong case.

That's on ukvi I didn't notice until 2 weeks ago because I didn't log into that ukvi account again after withdrawing and my current application was already done when I noticed and my application has been made since , they have the files they can look it up , I was shocked to see that when I logged in recently

U have to save their email confirming your withdrawal. U might need to add it to ur next application and add a cover letter to explain what happened

My own is showing application decided on the date I withdrew omo ukvi dey confuse person oh , d day dey recorded my withdrawal is on my e visa ukvi portal as refused but the only thing they sent me was this withdrawal mail below and no decision email , I don't know if it's because I withdrew through Sheffield escalation/extra document email, funny thing is I didn't notice till 2 weeks ago, the day I sent thw withdrawal email to Sheffield was February 10 th because I noticed they kept working on my application even after withdrawing through ukvi portal February 6th and then the next day they sent me withdrawal confirmation email,

Now here's what my ukvi account currently looks like, carrying the same date I withdrew my application as refused

And the reason I took such measures by emailing Sheffield direct was because school cancelled CAS on that 10th and I don't want them deciding on an application CAS was cancelled on

I successfully withdrew too wasn't given any decision but it was recorded in my ukvi account so I wanted to know those who created ukvi account then and link ed their passport if they could see the previous application when they login , my account still carries my withdrawal date

Again oh followed same pattern previously just that no additional documents and unable to decide came faster this time last time took 30 working days

Any advice on first 2 days accomodation before finalising on school or outside accommodation please 🙏

When did you apply ?

My school did exactly the same thing but they didn't notify us old students so I'm asking did the school notify you guys and requested for the extra deposit or you saw it in the cas shield

Because nothing about additional deposit is showing in my CAS shield at all before they'll allow me submit statement and now automatically request for it instead of giving me CAS

University of Liverpool. They increased their school fees from last year and the also increased their deposit especially for nigerians

Please did they ask for the additional deposit after you've submitted your statement of account or before?
Because seems like this is the new madness

They rejected the withdrawal for approval!!

Not visa fee that's ihs you won't get visa fee back as long as you've attended biometrics

In as much as a decision wasn’t finalized in my application, then visa fee would be refunded. My friend got a refund for his visa earlier this week after canceling his application a few weeks ago

Why did ukvi reject the withdrawal request please?

Please, I have a question for anyone who has had a similar experience.

If you applied to withdraw your visa because your school withdrew your CAS, but UKVI rejected the visa withdrawal, and now the school has issued a new CAS for the same January intake

Do I need to submit a completely new visa application, or will UKVI be able to use the new CAS on the existing application?

I’m honestly confused about what’s going on and would really appreciate clarification from anyone who has gone through this.

I’m a bit tensed as school latest start date has passed (3rd Feb). Mailed the school tho….

U are not getting it....ur sch should defer and give u automatic admission for September and update ur current admission to September while UKVI does d same thing so that u don't have to reapply for visa

It's September will that work? That's automatic rejection because for someone outside UK you won't be granted visa before 6 months

Instead of withdrawing u should have asked ur sch to defer ur admission and update UKVI on ur CAS extension to the next intake,,so ur visa will reflect d new date for resumption

After sla dey requested for docs on the 30th responded 31st/1st dey didn't respond had to withdraw because I'm tired of waiting

Like they didn’t ask for any additional document nor interview and this is how it happened because it seems like people that they reached out to for additional document got response

After doing a paid call yesterday night and they said still under consideration I was pissed went to bed early woke up this morning after a sleepless night and withdrew because my last date is 9th , it's been 35 working days and I'm exhausted the stress is something else was thinking after asking for extra documents they'll respond as soon as possible

Sometimes withdrawing application forces them to look into the application and send a reply, I read this on Reddit . A guy withdrew but a decision had already been made and he got his visa. These people will make a decision like 2 weeks ago and yet will not communicate. It is crazy .

They've not even accepted my withdrawal sef let me see what their response will be today if it was successful or not
