SportsSunday Mba Keen On European Club Transfer After Inclusion In Goal 50 by trista(op): 2:10pm On Jul 29, 2013
Sunday Mba is hopeful that his selection in this year's Goal 50 will boost his profile as he looks to secure a move to European football.

The Nigeria midfielder was linked with a transfer to Arsenal following his superb displays at the Africa Cup of Nations, but a contract wrangle with Warri Wolves put paid to his ambitions of playing in Europe.

Now the 26-year-old is optimistic that he is back on track, and expressed his pleasure at his inclusion at No.24 in Goal's countdown of the "I am on top of the world to hear this," he told Goal.

"It is a thing of joy to me. It is not easy for me to make the Goal 50. It will really go a long way to push my football career forward. I am so happy about that."

Mba was the star of the show as Nigeria won the Afcon in January, netting the only goal of the final against Burkina Faso as well as in the quarter-finals against star-studded Cote d'Ivoire.

He was also selected in Stephen Keshi's squad for the recent Confederations Cup, and is ready to meet the demands that come with being one of Nigeria's most prominent players.

"The feeling within me right now is of fulfilment, that I have made my country and family proud with this recognition," he added.

"It means more hard work for me from now on in order to maintain the tempo and expectations from not only Nigeria but the world at large. I hope to continue in this way to make my fans happy."

Warri have allowed Mba to play on loan at Enugu Rangers for the remainder of the NPFL season after which he hopes to secure a permanent move, with La Liga his preferred destination.

"I love Barcelona as a club but I am not saying any deal is coming from there for now," he said. "I cannot say which club for now but any good club that comes for me I will go, even if it is an African club side."

Mba, finally, admitted his fondness for Goal, concluding, "Each time I want to get football news I go there. The site gives me authentic information that I seek."

PoliticsRe: How Would You Manage Corruption In Nigeria If You Are President? by trista(m): 1:45pm On Jul 29, 2013
Anybody who thinks corruption can be tackled that easily is just clueless (no offense). for God's sake, even America, a developed country has its certain degree of corruption not to talk less of this under developed country of ours. Someone said that, an Authoritarian is what we need, well that's bullshit! That with no explanation needed will only make things worse. We've seen it before haven't we? As a wise friend once replied on this thread earlier in quote "how can corruption be tackled when you need corruption to enter power in the first place? That's a great rhetorical question." I've said it and I will say it again, its only with the miracle of God we will be salvaged from this troubled country of ours. Besides, it can't even be solved under one cabinet, the time is too short for one man to rectify so much damage in our economy already. That's my opinion though. Am out!

50calibre: First and foremost, immediately after taking office, is take the following steps

1 - Retire all the current army generals from every geo-political zone, send them into mandatory and comfortable retirement.

2 - Evenly promote (to encompass every region )young, hardworking and intelligent army officers to varying higher ranks.

3 - Move to amend the Nigerian constitution, enshrining in it more justice, equity and FairPlay, reducing the powers of politicians/godfathers, making them accountable to the masses, powering the judiciary to function independently without fear or favour, making it a punishable offence for retired politicians to meddle in the affairs of state, to include the death penalty for theft/embezzlement above a certain amount.

4 - Empowering the police force by providing better training, funding, increasing their salaries and setting up an independent police committee that looks into allegations of corruption and unfair practises within the police force.

5 - Drastically reduce the salary and various other bonuses of politicians, making politics less lucrative.

6 - Incoporate anti-corruption lessons into the national curricula, to impart on young minds the dangers of corruption.

7 - Strip politicians of certain rights, strip them of their diplomatic passports that every travel outside Nigeria be routed through the state department.

8 - Empower the likes of EFCC, ICPC etc giving them absolute power to pursue and ensure corrupt officials are hunted down and met with the stiffest form of justice.

Quite a long list
c how u dey talk am lyk say e easy lyk dat. Its not even possible sef in a democratic state of ours. Who go allow u implement all this?

CelebritiesDenrele: I Am Not Homosexual, I Am Still Single by trista(op): 8:02pm On Jul 26, 2013
Denrele claims he is not homosexual on a local entertainment news rather that he is straight. Well with his lifestyle and dressing, someone would hardly agree with his notion (lol). Here's an interview on him and his replies anyways;

Is Derenle G.a.y.?
I think people believe what they want to believe.

But a lot of people believe you are. And to prove them right, a picture of you Charley Boy went viral on the internet recently…
I don’t read the news, I make the news. The thing is people tend to look for loopholes when they see you doing well. And since people feel I’m feminine in nature, then they think I’m g.a.y. But the truth is I don’t really care about what people say because I’m not fashioned according to what the society expects. And also I think for my personality, if I were g.a.y, the news would have grown from speculations and would have been in people’s face.On the part of Charley Boy and me, I was not expecting the paparazzi that came with the picture.

So what was the picture about then?
I really don’t want to go into details, but it could have been a controversial agenda, it could have a been a publicity stunt, it could have been the real deal and it could have been photoshopped, but whatever it was, people should just go ahead and make their conclusions.

So why is Denrele still single?
I’m a hustler and I’m still trying to get myself together. When the time comes, I’ll get married definitely, but there’s no one in the picture now. I’m searching and ready to mingle.

Who is your ideal woman?
I like someone who would not try to change me and who would understand the complexity that I am. I want someone simple and absolutely free and not intimidated by what I represent.

RomanceWhy Do Almost All The Females On Badoo Social Networking Don't Chat? by trista(op): 4:12pm On Jul 23, 2013
I've been searching and testing quite a few social networking sites and apps online to keep me busy during my bored times. To be honest a few impressed me till I found "Badoo". Badoo to me is pretty awesome, with the fine database, picture view, searching people nearby and so on. But I have just one problem on it which is of all the chicks I've seen and liked, about 98% don't reply messages!!! I simply don't understand why. Sometimes I wonder is it me or what. Even the extremely few ones that do reply don't chat quite well. Please what do you guys think of this?
