BusinessWhat Are The Safest Ways People Buy And Sell Online In Nigeria Today? by Trokasa(op): 4:53pm On Jun 06
I’ve been thinking about how online buying and selling in Nigeria has changed over the past few years.

Today, people use different platforms depending on what they want some use Jumia others prefer Facebook Marketplace, Instagram vendors, and even WhatsApp groups.

But one thing that still doesn’t seem fully solved is trust and safety between buyers and sellers.

Common issues include:

* Fake or misleading listings
* Difficulty verifying sellers
* Risk during payment or delivery
* Poor communication in some cases

Because of this, many people now rely on platforms that are trying to improve structure and trust in the buying process.

One example I recently came across is Trovendor, a newer marketplace that is trying to make buying and selling simpler and more organized by connecting buyers and sellers in a more structured way.

I find the idea interesting, but I’m more curious about real user experiences overall.

So I’d like to ask:

* What has been your safest experience buying online in Nigeria?
* Which platform do you currently trust the most and why?
* What do you think new marketplaces are still missing?

I’m trying to understand how people really navigate online buying today.
