dederocs: Na suffer oga...100k a year abroad is not a big money, how is this possible on a minimum wage of 12 USD an hour...dont you pay for house rent? do you work 24hrs?
Sharing a small flat with people and living like a pauper is not life, if anything happens your room mates go share your small properties
Unless you live like a pauper to save, it's a boring suffering life, in this short existence, doing menial jobs in your 40s is suffering, even in heaven. Young boys spend 100k USD a month in Nigeria...or did you travel from a village? That buddy is talking about legit hustle and not your regular unscrupulous hustle in Nigeria. That dude is saying the fact and the truth, Stop trolling. |

Babaibe: How many people earn 1m in Nigeria, 85 percent of Nigerians earn less than 150k and they are surviving .It is just because you choose to be lavish and extravagant. Reason you are struggling with good savings. Do you think it easy to save 1m with food delivery job in europe, warehouse job in UK and under the table job in the USA.It is better in US if you study ,which is not a joke without finance. I pitied those taking little kids abroad, grade A foolishness, na them go feel am much. You will learn the hardway at old age that Oyinbo never believed in communal way of living. When your children will abandon you and dress half naked, smoke everything as a result of peer influence and friends from school with zero control over it.If you have nothing working for you in Nigeria, Japa is good and ensure your kids are above 16years before they japa with you. Me oo, immediately I have a financial structure that guarantee 500k monthly and very secure.I will pack my bag and leave this UK. You can test me, just provide the offer. Buddy, the N150k is huge, the minimum wage is N70k, and alot of people earn way below that amount. As for kids; pikin wey wan spoil go spoil, no matter where the child's resides. Let's just endeavor to commit our kids before the Lord, and be praying for them for a better discipline God fearing lifestyle 🙏 |

Mature minds only. Don't let the huge amount "N500k" to deceive you or burst your head. The N500k of 2024/2025, is the N120k of 2018/2019, before COVID-19. |

lawani: You are a highly skilled person and you will be well paid in any country. In the west you will certainly be using a brand new car while in Nigeria you will at least own your own home fully in an average city. All are achievements The western world is better for the average worker because they pay tax and have free education and universal healthcare as a result. If you are an above average income earner it can vary. There are thousands of foreigners working in Nigeria too. Yes, you're right, sir. If we takeoff the highly skill-set, I don't think any average worker would be enjoying and loving Chile like he's doing right now. I respect your moniker, sir, almost two decades, respect👍🙌✊ |

tensazangetsu20: No you cannot. For work visa or student visa you have to leave chile and apply from outside. I remember one useless agent I met from Nairaland here when I was applying for my study visa the agent told me to apply for tourist visa and when I get to Chile I will apply for student visa. Thank God I never listened to her. I for hear am. I think she’s on the Brazilian thread. She was advertising childbirth in Brazil or so. Oh, I see. That means Chile has the same rules as Mexico. Don't blame the agent. Perhaps, she thinks Chile has the same rules as Brazil. Because if you hadn't enlightened me now, I wouldn't have known either. |
Travel › Re: Memoirs From Chile by trollx: 12:12am On Oct 04, 2025 |
tensazangetsu20: The possibility is very low. The only visa you can apply for while inside Chile is family reunification and that’s if you are married to a Chilean. If it’s not easy for other Latinos to pull off who have the same language as Chileans I don’t know how easy it will be for a Nigerian. Nor be small thing ooo. So, one cannot regularize tourist-visa to student-visa or work-visa while already inside Chile? |

desmondDessi: Please over the years, how are you coping with their language. Can you speak very well now? Plus you mentioned somewhere else on your trend that Chile don't have an embassy in Nigeria, is that correct? Why don't you try and get a Ghana passport. It's visa-free to Guyana, from Guyana, you can find your way to Chile, quite easypeasy. |

oluyemi123: We know this , my concern is those people who agent will milk millions of naira telling them there many jobs in Brazil. Most Nigerians wants a place they can easily be making a living and earning, if it's for only documents or one have money for biz Brazil can be okay but not to go work but not for someone who wants to work. Yes, you're right about those agents lying to their clients all because of money. There are jobs just that the pay might not be encouraging, not much menial jobs that pays well the way it is in other western countries. That's why most people opt for business instead. But if you have high demand skill and can speak the language, definitely you'll enjoy Brazil. |

tensazangetsu20: No my first job out of school when I was still a marine engineer was working in Europe in Italy precisely travelled and didn’t see the hype and got back to Nigeria. This was back in 2019 as Nigeria wasn’t as bad as today but as Nigeria got worst over the years I needed to escape. Europe was out of it. I never fancied any of the countries. My plan was the USA and moving to the USA from Nigeria was very hard so I two options came up that will enable that move long term and that’s how I ended up in chile. I don’t even know if I want to move from Chile Anymore as I can get everything I want in life here. You sure have guts and optimism, cos not everyone would have such opportunity of going to Europe with a job at hand but decide to dump it and move back to Nigeria to restratigize and move elsewhere. You get mind Boss😎🤞 Chile is an amazing country, no doubts. |

tensazangetsu20: Depends on the western country. I tell you that the only western countries better than Chile are the US and Switzerland. There’s nothing in the west you can’t find here in Chile. The Chilean passport is as good as any western passport. The level of development in Chile here is better than a lot of western countries. I have lived in Italy and Chile is one billion times better than that country in every way possible. You might be right. I will quite agree with you because I have never been to Europe. I thought Europe was even way more developed than South America countries. I'm really so surprised that you left Europe for South America. You left because of the hurdles to get jobs or documentation? |

The comment section here will tell people a lot. People needs to stop comparing South America countries to western countries, South America countries are just like ladder and stepping stone to your next destination. Because not everyone will get those western countries visas from Africa, no matter how hard you try you might not get it. I always tell people; abroad are not for those who are doing well back home, if you are doing well back home, you might find abroad frustrating and tiring at the very beginning. Most especially when you arrive without any job at hand. Learn a good marketing skill before emigrating anywhere, & learn the language if the need arises. People needs to know these things. |

tensazangetsu20: Chile is better than Brazil then by far if those comments are true. The very few Nigerians here are doing very well for themselves. That's your thought because you have a good skill, alot of people with your kind of skill and with good businesses are also doing well for themselves in Brazil, they won't stowaway to the USA like the unskilled ones. Besides, Chile is just a small tiny island, just like two states combined together in Brazil, so don't compare her to Brazil. |
