American just means white to me because our justice system did not give justice to a young black boy who was gunned down by a white American simply for being black in an upscale neighborhood..

birdman: They do understand. Better than you do in fact. The fist batch of activists, the MLKs and Malcolm Xs got assassinated or exiled. The next generation, the Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons got profiled by the FBI and were forced to compromise (Sharpton is an rumored informant). The following generation that tried to get into politics are all in jail - Kwame Kilpatrick, Jesse Jackson Jr and tons of others you will not hear about. Not to mention the CIA under Reagan actually waging clandestine war on local black communities and giving rise to the fatherless families we see today. Yeah, they understand whats up.

Oh, and funny enough, Obama actually idolizes Reagan. But thats a story for another thread.

Very sad, it just goes to show over and over again that the justice system works only for a few and everyone who is not either wealthy or white isn't apart of that few. I'm actually very scared for my brother now. Who knew being black in a well to do neighborhood was a crime.
