Who is taking online courses these days for finance and accounting?

There is tons of good free stuff out there right now...

I would agree with you on everything you posted there... they are definitely superior in many ways!!

These are the most common interview questions for finance interviews: http://www.corporatefinanceinstitute.com/fpa-interview-questions ... if you don't see a single one of those questions... then you are probably in the wrong spot! Or it's not a real interview.

i do financial excel work on fivrr and charge like 40. i masted excel with as many shortcuts as I can http://www.corporatefinanceinstitute.com/excel-shortcuts-pc-mac I find that I always have to learn new Excel shortcuts ones, no matter how many i think i know

It's important to do some personal reflection and see what type of career or job is the right fit for you... it's not all about money and prestige.... a helpful way to do this could be to build a "career map" (like this: http://www.corporatefinanceinstitute.com/career-map) where you plan out all the different jobs you're interested in and figure out the skills and training needed to get each job. Then you can make an informed decision!
