Politics / Abioye Oladeji: IPOB Terrorists Kidnap A Yoruba Man & Threaten To Kill Him by trutharena: 12:56pm On Aug 21, 2023
Below the the video of IPOB terrorists threatening to kill a Yoruba man named Abioye Oladeji.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynsr1BuYwRE

He was already wounded in the video and they were interviewing him and threatening to kill him because he is Tinubu kinsmen.

They indicated that they spared the driver because he is Igbo but they specifically took the Yoruba man because he is Yoruba.

The Nigeria military should save this man.

Tinubus decision to suspend Emefiele as CBN Governor was a strategic move and a sign of his commitment to good governance and accountability. It was also within the bounds of Nigerias constitution.

Lol Yoruba only proved in this election that we are not tribalist.

Atiku won Osun state
Peter Obi won Lagos state.

What else do you guys want? That all Yoruba should vote Obi and not vote Tinubu even with the obvious track record of Tinubu as governor and how much Yoruba leaders he breed.

Walahi Nigeria na cruise. The religiously and Tribalist region of Ibo land voted their own Obi with 96% of the votes are screaming that Yoruba people that only have Tinubu barely 60% of their votes are tribalist.

This can only happen in a weird country like Nigeria. E no go better for Obi of Onitsha the foolishh king that can’t teach his Ibo people manners.

Foreign Affairs / Re: France reacts as Niger Severs Military Ties by trutharena: 1:48pm On Aug 04, 2023
So France no wan vacate their military installation? Are they trying to invade the country now?

France recalls that the legal framework for its defense cooperation with Niger is based on agreements concluded with the legitimate Nigerien authorities. These are the only ones that France, like the rest of the international community, recognizes,” the ministry said in a statement.

This is injustice.

President Tinubu shouldn’t have succumbed to the people opposing Shetty. There is nothing on earth you can do that will please everybody, he should have just leave Shetty to continue.

Only God know how the Shetty lady will be feeling now. It’s even better they don’t announce her in the first place.

I hope all the Arewa youth condemning the nomination of Shetty are now happy.

Politics / Igbo Demands Cabinet Slot In Niger State, Cites Revenue Generation by trutharena: 12:19pm On Aug 04, 2023
The Igbo community in Niger State has called on Governor Mohammed Bago to appoint one of their own into his cabinet to reciprocate their contribution to the state’s Internally Generated Revenue.

They also alluded to their support for the governor and averred that it would be in line with his promised ‘all-inclusive’ government.

The Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Niger State chapter, Chief Valentine Oparaocha, who spoke to our correspondent on Thursday in Minna, insisted that Bago’s cabinet would not be complete without at least one Igbo man on board.

Oparaocha said, “There is no part of the state you don’t find an Igbo man or woman. Go to any market, you will see them doing their best and contributing to the state’s economy, that is why we feel that it will not be out of place to ask to be included in the cabinet.

“Igbo people are naturally business inclined and contribute more than other tribes to the growth and development of Niger State, especially in the Internally Generated Revenue, and we have remained committed to doing that.

We voted for Bago because our son, George Dike, assured us of his sincerity to carry the Igbo people along. We voted for him even when we were sidelined in the largesse that was shared with the other 26 non-indigenous tribes in the state.”

Oparaocha added that Igbo youths in Niger State had always supported Bago

“They told us to vote for him because he will not disappoint us and we did. We want the governor to treat us like some states by bringing us into the security and state executive council,” he added.

War crime is only applicable to the weak

Even during the USA civil war, the union army laid a food blockade on the confederate. All is fair in war.

USA that nuked Japan cannot come and be preaching what should be defined a war crime. Stopping food supply is a million times better than nuking a country.

If your Ibo leaders make another mistake of going to war with nigeeia without strategizing on their food supply source, they will still face the same starvation and heaven will not fall.

You point a gun at the Nigerian army and you still expect the Nigeria government to send you food. Like it’s a kind of video game or do.

Na Awolowo I blame in all this, na him dey do Mr. Nice guy.

I think they might be saying this because of that young lady.

But North also got some fantastic technocrats in the ministerial list. So I am not sure what this guy is saying self.

Also, Tinubu can afford to pick just anybody from the SW but he dosen’t have that luxury in the North because the Northern governors are powerful enough to shape the nominee. Everyone should remember that Nigeria is not Lagos.

Politics / What Do You Think Of This Northerner Tweet About Choice Of Tinubu Ministers by trutharena: 12:45pm On Aug 03, 2023
Below is a tweet of a Northerner about the quality of ministers Tinubu chose from the North and the South especially the SW.

Arewa Twitter is boiling over this as some of them share this guys opinion.

Is the guy saying the truth?

Dear @officialABAT I urge you to rethink your ministerial nominees for the Northern region.
The stark difference in capacity between the nominees from the Northern Region and south, especially the southwest is deeply concerning.

If you must compensate those that contributed to your victory, let it not be at the detriment of our region.
It is shocking that an unknown tick tick queen is being nominated for a state like kano when there are many individuals that could’ve been considered.

A list of accomplished individuals who could've been considered for Kano:
1.Omar Farouk Ibrahim - Secretary General, African Petroleum Producers Organization.
2.Dr. Mansur Mukhtar – VP, Country Operations, Islamic Development Bank.
3.Shamsudeen Usman - Accomplished Economist and Public Servant.
4.Amal Hassan – Founder/CEO, Outsource Global.
5.Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau - Experienced Military Officer & Former Minister of Interior.

Besides Malam Nasiru el rufai, there’s nothing to jolly over as far as your ministerial list is concerned. We cannot afford to go another four years with selfish and careless appointments. The region will not survive it.
I urge you to reconsider.

LOVEALAIGBO:

I doubt any neutral is surprised at the way you Tinubu minions are reasoning! Your entire existence is built on wickedness, envy, greed and covetousness!

As far back as a year or so ago, i warned Ndigbo….especially the too-clever-by-half ones in APC, that if by omission or commission Tinubu manages to find his sick ass in Aso-Rock, that the cheating, marginalisation and state-engineered insecurity in the south-east will continue from where the Buhari gov’t left off, and I’ve been proven right! I don’t have a crystal ball, neither am i Nostradamus! I just knew the unfair mindedness, bigotry, hate and avarice of the average Tinubu/Buhari/APC minion would become apparent at some point!

It boggles the mind how anyone can justify the unbalanced sharing of ministerial posts, not based on fairness and equity, but based on the bigoted Buhari sharing formula ‘who did and who didn’t vote for me’!

Stop crying Shibuzo.

Go and ask the lunatic Peter Obi for your ministerial nomination. Ndibo will get nothing from Tinubu.

I even dey vex for Tinubu for giving slot to Ndibo in the first place.

This sound like a foolish decision.

So what about all those that are sick that are currently in the hospital? Are they going to be left to die too with this indefinite strike?

How can they expect good investigation to be done within 5 days?

What they should have asked is for the governor to immediately sack the General manger of the Lagos infrastructure Management agency and hold her accountable for the issue since they said they reported it before. Then investigation can proceed.

But suddenly just grounding everything while still requesting thorough investigation sound somehow to me. Nigeria workers need to be trained on other way of negotiating with the government. They brain know nothing besides strike.

So person wey get life threatening illness for hospital now go need to be relocated or will they be left to die?

Politics / Re: Northern Csos Pull Out Of NLC Strike by trutharena: 5:59pm On Aug 01, 2023
I think they should allow NLC to protest so far it is going to be a peaceful protest.

However, I will agree to NLC going on another strike. They can protest for one day to lay their grievances about the nation and this will also put the presidency on their toes to hasten the rollout of the agenda and palliative/minimum wage they have in place.

It seems the NLC president he has to do something in the open to make it look like he too is fighting for workers and not staying idle.

Lastly, we all know NLC president is working for Obi, but Jagaban sure knows how to handle that kind of scenario.
