My analogy of mosques in Muslim dominated areas and churches in Christian dominated areas should explain it better. We don't wake up and start thinking of building mosques unlike churches that have members and headquarters that must build churches every now and then.

Compare the number of mosques in those Muslims area to the number of churches in Christian areas, the Christians area would likely double it even with the same population of subjective religion.

It's not about mosque, Muslims don't build mosques like the way christian build churches. Individuals build churches for business. Mosques are built mostly for just a location. Maybe a street with a mosque where the people in the street will just come and pray and the other will pray in their houses.
Also, Muslims of nowadays don't really pray like our fathers because of how hectic it is. Praying five times daily is not a beans. Most only choose to pray on Fridays.
