A 16-year-old kenyan girl was on Thursday killed by her elder brother after he kicked her in the stomach. Abigail Wafula, who was pregnant, died as her family was struggling to get a motorcycle in order to rush her to the hospital. Their father, Emmanuel Wafula, noted that the rivalry between the two started after the family discovered that the girl was pregnant. "Kizito is usually highly tempered. We had warned him against fighting with his pregnant sister." Mr Wafula stated. Following the unfortunate incident, the 29-year-old suspect, Kizito Wafula, surrendered to police officers at Siritayi police station. Confirming the incident, area Assistant Chief of police condemned the act adding that Kizito would be charged with murder. The girl's body was taken to Bungoma County Referral Hospital mortuary. https://www.kenyans.co.ke/news/pregnant-girl-dies-after-being-kicked-stomach-her-brother-bungoma-18433

In late 2016, a 34 - year - old policewoman in Argentina — in a coma after a car accident — gave birth. Four months later , Amelia Bannan has regained consciousness and has finally met her son. During the first part of 2017 , “she moved sometimes, made signs of waking up ,” said her brother Cesar. “Last Thursday , during Holy Week , we were in her room at the clinic, and we heard someone say ‘ Yes . ’ We approached her . It was a very moving moment. ” On November 1 , Bannan and her colleagues — including the father of her child, also a police officer — were in an accident in their service vehicle . Bannan was gravely injured . As she languished in a coma in a hospital in the city of Posadas , her pregnancy moved along as planned. Santino was born by cesarean section a few hours before Christmas , in perfect health. Bannan’ s sister Norma “took care of Santino. And every day at 6 pm, she brought the baby to Amelia ,” said brother Cesar. When Bannan finally regained consciousness last week , and her sister brought Santino to her , she at first thought the baby was her nephew. Then her family explained the happy news . Bannan began to remember what happened to her . At first speaking in a confused manner, she eventually made herself understood, her brother said. “The doctors said that Amelia has defied all scientific logic, that her case is truly a miracle,” said Cesar, who is also a cop. “Amelia is young , and despite the traumatic brain injury she suffered, she is surprising us ,” said neurosurgeon Marcelo Ferreira , who is treating her . “She still has a lot to give. She needs time , and everyone needs to be patient . ” http://punchng.com/argentina-woman-gives-birth-in-coma-meets-son-four-months-later/ |

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has raised the alarm that faith - based and charitable organisations in the country are victims of unscrupulous foreign donors who dump expired or banned products on them in the name of donations . The agency , which stated this at a press conference in Lagos on Thursday, warned such faith - based organisations and charitable non- governmental organisations to be wary of such donations , urging them to properly scrutinise donated items . “We advise faith - based and charitable organisations to contact NAFDAC before the shipment of any donated NAFADAC-regulated items to Nigeria ,” the Director, Investigation and Enforcement , NAFDAC , Mr . Kingsley Ejiofor, stated . He also said that NAFDAC intercepted counterfeit and fake alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks valued at N 200 m at the Ogbaru Relief Market, Onitsha, Anambra State . Ejiofor stated that the discovery was made following intelligence reports, which made the NAFDAC investigation and enforcement unit as well as the Federal Task Force on Counterfeit and Unwholesome Processed Foods to storm several shops in the market used as the base for the production , distribution, sale and storage of fake versions of popular brands of alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks . He said the beverages were produced by manual mixing in plastic buckets and filled into bottles under very unhygienic conditions within the market premises . “The team also discovered a container load of fake holograms , labels and packaging materials of the counterfeited brands, ” Ejiofor stated . He added that six suspects had been arrested, among whom was a pregnant woman , Chikezie Ogaejiofor . The agency said it also carried out several raids on the nation ’s seaports, adding that at the Tin Can Island Port , Lagos, it discovered a consignment of 95 cartons of expired gloves and 595 crates of expired Smart Wellness Drinks, which were falsely declared by the manufacturer as 5 ,080 packs of medical equipment and books . According to him , the agency also intercepted a consignment of sulphuric acid in front of an uncompleted building at Agbara area of Ogun State , adding that the suspect diluted the original concentration of 99 . 9 per cent to 50 per cent and relabelled it. “The suspect has no chemical permit and the facility is not licensed to carry out such a sensitive and hazardous operation. It was also observed that there was no technical staff attached to the company,” Ejiofor explained . He added that the agency equally seized containers and cartons of fake controlled pharmaceutical products and medical devices at the Apapa Port , including fake versions of popular pain killers in unapproved and life - threatening strength. The NAFDAC director advised consumers to be watchful of known brands of drugs , foods and other regulated products , saying that they should not hesitate to report any suspicious activities within their neighbourhoods to the agency. http://punchng.com/foreign-donors-dump-expired-products-on-religious-bodies-ngos-nafdac/ |

Fourwinds:you are still not getting the message I'm trying to pass here... I said earlier that with time rape survivors learn to live with the trauma... and go on with their lives, make money, marry, have kids etc. it happened with oprah....Human beings can adapt to anything. Why strip your family of your presence because you don't want to get raped... Your mindset (when it comes to rape death is better than life) makes you a sick human being. |
beardlessdude:Nothing speaks louder than a Guilty conscience.... say no more oo saintly one. |
Fourwinds:From all indications you've never really experienced death, you don't know what death is, how permanent it is.... |
Fourwinds:And now she is the richest black American woman on earth ..... if she had killed herself like you suggests, would she have achieved this feat? |
