helinues: The way some people play their own politics in Nigeria is just so horrible.
Reflecting back on the thread below , seeing how people attacked me for no sensible reason for asking what next after the LG poll in Rivers state mean we are not ready to grow as a nation if we can't discuss the issues affecting us sincerely without being emotional.
If I chose not to get involved with Edo guber election, what should be my business with ordinary LG poll in Rivers state.
There are states who have conducted their own LG election without any issue, some states are also conducting today like Akwa Ibom without any noise, why is Rivers state always in bad news whenever there is election in the state?
To the Rivers people on this forum, are you guys even proud of the conduct of your politicians?
Too poor , too bad

JagabanB: I wish I can make a voice note to you. Do you pay attention to your society at all? Let me tell u a story. Some years ago, I went to see someone working on a dam project in Benue State in one of the Local Government, I have done a few projects in Benue for some time now. Now, the issue on ground then was a female commissioner of education who stated a rule, the rule was, you must write your WAEC in the school that you wrote ur WAEC mock exam. U know why she made that rule? She made the rule simply because students in Benue at that time (don't know about now) had the habit of writing mock exam in a school which can teach very well but won't allow students to cheat in WAEC, the students will write mock there, then move to schools who don't teach anything, most of them bareIy have a laboratory then cheat to pass WAEC, that particular year that she implemented the rule, guess where she got backlash from, can you guess? The masses, her policy was trying to save the masses and their schools, to encourage schools where cheating is not allowed to continue and thrive while that policy will discourage and close down mushroom schools, the masses turned on her, I think she was removed as commissioner and the masses celebrated it, you know the end product now? Go to Benue and sample schools that are not miracle centres, you will struggle to find them from the length to the breadth of Benue, initially, miracle centres were a thing of mockery, today, it's the order of the day. Tell me the fault is from politicians. I am trying to be deliberate about what I am saying. Yes I acknowledge how corrupt the government seems to be. My argument now is had it been it was the politicians that were sent to jail for corruption just like this Ebonyi internet fraudsters, don’t you think it will send a resounding message to the masses and politicians that it’s no longer business as usual? The problem is from the government, their ability to be transparent and uphold integrity in Leadership. It’s a big disappointment from you if you say this politicians can’t be held accountable for anything they do… |

JagabanB: Reasoning is way above whatever you can reason. It's easy to solve problems while sitting in the crowd, just like a game of chess, the onlookers can play better than the players until they are sitting at the board. Buhari solved all the problems of Nigeria while contesting elections and whenever u are opportune to lead a large group of Nigerians, ur level of reasoning will be on it's journey to where mine already is. Experience is the best teacher. Experience is what u lack. so In your own conclusion, you are saying corruption in Nigeria can not go away ? Arresting and sending wanted politicians to jail can not work ? The masses and politicians can not be reminded of implications of not being transparent in executing their duties ?? Just a few |

Since masses learn from the politician, where did the first crop of politicians learn it from before transferring it to the masses? you are just biting round the bush.. When you arrrst and jail this corrupt politicians, don’t you think the masses- up coming politicians won’t learn a lesson? But when you don’t do anything at all, the corruption will expand to become a systemic issue in the society |

JagabanB: I wanted to ignore this your message because I see that u are becoming too emotional. Politics has damaged so many of u young people that when someone says something to you, instead of u think, the first thing that comes to your mind, is politics, even politicians are not wired that way. I always tell you people, I don't campaign ahead of politicians and I don't campaign when politicians are not campaigning. What I have been saying, is not in defense of any particular politician, just an analysis of the real life situation, unfortunately, u are so pàthètic and dàft that u see it as defending politicians. I have asked you questions with real life situation about computers and tablets sent to schools across the federation for teachers to use it and teach in schools, the head teachers siphoned it and sold it, are they politicians? What will happen when u eliminate one group of politicians and put them in office? I assume that's a huge reality check on u and since it doesn't appeal to ur emotions that politicians are demons while u masses are saints u prefer to ignore it. thats my point to you also The politicians created the room for corruption in such magnitude Assuming they are jailed for any misconduct the society will be corruption free. The mindset of the society will Be if the political class are not jailed so I am protected the looting continues You still don’t get it |

The politicians in your Local Government Area in 1960, are they the ones still there today? Are they better than ones in 1960? If the politicians in 1960 were jailed, the new politicians will fall from the blue sky or they will be regular Nigerians that we see today?
A quick question for you, when politicians are jailed, will infrastructures and industries appear? if law enforcement like EFCC are up and running, I don’t think this country will be this corrupt |

A quick question for you, when politicians are jailed, will infrastructures and industries appear? the responsible lies in the hands of the law enforcement agencies like EFCC to arrest n prosecute if I am found guilty of looting But unfortunately the Agencies we have now are sell outs to politicians. Let me ask you, if the looted funds are recovered, don’t you think we would use them to fund infrastructure |

Most u think transforming a society is by cheap talks on social, read and observe the lives of people who transformed their societies, it's not by cheap talk on social media. the reason why we have such a corrupt system is because politicians are not accountable, punished for any offense especially looting of public funds… The society we live in is so corrupt.. the least you can do is to defend them.. so pathetic |
