Requirements:
Rooted phone

QPST

DOWNLOAD QPST, INSTALL IT. Go to start menu > programs > locate QPST folder. Select service programming. work in offline or online mode(whichever works for you). Move through the options till you NAS. Select NAS. Click read from phone. You should see your IMEI number. Now modify it. And click write to phone. Your phone should reboot.

Make sure your USB drivers are properly installed. If not QPST won't detect your phone.
If you couldn't change your IMEI with the method I posted try this:

Open Qpst > RF NV ITEM manager > Select file > Select 'read supported item'. It'll load.
Navigate to number 550 Change the IMEI. Click write NV.
phone will reboot. Thats all.
