The problem is not about Obi being a regional player or not, infact i somewhat agree with you that he is not a regional. The problem is the trend of votes from SE. SE politicians in APC have no bargaining tool to get their party's ticket. You have to explain to your party men why they should field you when you have no advantage where you even come from. For example if Uzor Kalu as APC candidate will lose SE vites to Obi from another party, why should APC give their ticket to Uzor Kalu. They will find it difficult to sell him in SW and the North especially when the other parties have candidates from SW and/or the North.

Now let's go back to Obi not being regional. Obi's political reach is not as widespread as others. And thats where he needs to align with politicians from other regions(the core North especially). These people do what their local political leaders tell them to do. Obi cannot reach the sentiment of the core North the way Tinubu will do through local politicians from the North. And dont get it twisted, kwankwaso na local champion for kano(i am not sure his kano potency is still alive sef), in my opinion, Kwankwaso decided to be Obis vice now because he believes Obi will support him when it becomes the turn of North again in 2031.

You asked why should atiku not deputize Obi. This is what I am going to tell you, 1. Politics is a game of number and Atiku has better political reach nationally 2. You always have to trade off something to arrive at your destination in politics. IN the US...you also pay heavy taxes that chop a large chunk of your income at federal state and local government level. Also, you are paying back student loans if you went to university, (and those loans make Nelfund loans look like chincininy one). Electiricty? High prices. Car replayments? (I even found out from a relative that lives in US that most people there buy second hand cars, nothing like new car, lol)...and then if you have mortgage, you go pay (and rent is not the cheap thing we pay here lol).

The jobs may be stressful, physical, hard, demanding. That is a different conversation, but the point is there are jobs to be done if you want to earn an income and have a work authorization. I lived that life, it is not easy.. You are managing language learning with demanding graduate school-masters in germany is a different story altogether. You still need to work, unfortunately mostly limited to the stressful factory jobs. Learning german is not easy when you are under work permit limitation and pressure. I think he did well saving that much with the kind of jobs available to him. Got his degree which can open doors for him elsewhere, got substantial cash too to make the next move.

I am not sure how achievable you think learning deutsch can be. Personally I am bad with Languages especially deutsch.
I will just tell you not to waste your 60m on anything that will not give you a Permanent Status in a country where English is the official language. If you can extend your germany stay some more, maybe you will just have to endure the stressful job some more, keep saving. I am tempted to tell you to learn french and shoot for Canda PR, but its up to you ultimately.
The most obvious thing is for you to keep learning german, while you endure your job, depending on how much time Germany will give you to stay.
But if you ever have to go back to Nigeria. Carry that your money put it in 20% high yield savings, collect the interest of like 9m up front(less tax), live on that interest while you study French like your life depends on it. Hopefully you can pass the french test after like 12 months
