A lot of times we've not considered the full effects colonialism had on Nigeria and the other African countries. A lot of Nigerians need to realize that while we were a British colony the British exploited us to the max. A country doesn't just choose to have colonies for nothing. The British empire was called an empire the world doesn't set on because at it's peak the sun was always shining on one of it's colonies and they occupied 24% of the world. European countries had colonies so they could exploit them for resources and a market for their products. When Nigeria gained independence we didn't gain economic independence cause the British for their own selfish gains had already instilled a culture of importing. No matter how much you guys hate on Yahoo boys you need to realize that whites have scammed you far worst than any Yahoo boy or internet fraudster could have. European countries are rich because of the colonies they had. Nigeria would be pretty well off if we had colonies too.

You need to realize that the colonizers essentially cornered resources so their white children should enjoy while the children of the colonies should suffer. It's exactly why the dollar keeps rising and most Nigerians can't afford a lot of products.

France commited a lot of atrocities to their colonies and when Africans go to these same European countries they start crying about how much they're losing their country not considering when their country was holding these African countries as colonies. No matter how much British citizens complain about Muslims and Indians entering their country they should also realize that the British empire was also controlling Pakistan and India at some point. While western countries like to parade themselves as the moral point of reason they committed some of the worst atrocities and at the same time were preaching religion in the colonies. Basically these guys were exploiting us and didn't want to stop until we declared independence. Any Nigerian that gives a damn about the British royal family. The same family that was in the center of the exploiting and robbing your ancestors blind is an idiot. The British royal family has only exploited you and has done nothing to benefit you.
