There are Igbos in ogun state too. When writing jamb many Igbos would apply to Yoruba universities in SW like UNILAG, LASU, OOU, OAU, UI, Unillorin etc.

The name igbo is more homogenous as the people of eastern part of Nigeria called themselves igbo long before the colonial masters came. Same cannot be said for the western part of Nigeria as they are more heterogenous and called themselves names based on their dialect, towns or empire. We had Egbas, Ijebus, Eguns, Aworis, Oyos, Ijeshas, Ekiti, Gbogan etc. They never had a unifying name called "yoruba".
