Just discovered that the only Thread you ever authored on the Forum is on promotion of Biafra Republic. Keep dreaming of inheriting Lagos. I wish you good luck in your mirage.
LasGidiOwner: Its because you have no point!

Lasgidi is my inheritance.

There is no point joining issue with you. A philosopher once said "He who does not know and he does not know that he does not know is a foool, ignore him but He who does not knows and he knows he does not know is a learner, teach him whereas he who knows and He knows that He knows is a wise man, Follow him". You, no doubt belong to the first category
LasGidiOwner: My problem with out people is trying so hard to cover the backwardness in our region. Please where is the so called modern Ibadan? My mom is from Ibadan so I know the town wella. Show me a different Ibadan apart from the one below. Is poverty also historical preservation? I think this traditional yoruba states are the reason our SW region is backward. I wish there are Fasholas in all these rural states that make up our SW.

We are a backward region I must confess!

Lasgidi is my inheritance.

Unfortunately, there is no scientific proof that u are better. If you know what i mean.
LasGidiOwner: You mean I must look like the below pictures before I could be considered a true Omoluabi? We were all born without the Tiger marks, though as I was growing up in Lagos I saw some of my school mates with such marks on their faces..shocked

Don't mind the 'goof' We know them when we see them. Empty barrel makes the loudest noise
Aigbofa: As Soyinka would say; a tiger does not need to proclaim it's tigritude. A true Yoruba does not need to go around saying Lasgidi is his inheritance.

Only a fool will beleive that you are Yoruba. If truly you are one, your position gave you out as an omo-ale. You are busy feeding people with wrong info here. So you are so dumbb to know that what you posted is the ancient part of Ibadan? So you are not aware of the modern Ibadan? So yo do not know that certain structures are preserved for historical purposes. Visit any Yoruba Palace and yo will see the very old, acahaic architecture mostly preserved from generation to generation for historical and cultural purpose. Ladgidi ko, Lasgidi ni. So the acient houses in Ajegunle and the likes are not part of your so-called Lasgidi. Ani Oponu ni ee. Mumu.
LasGidiOwner: You are not more yoruba than myself though from Lagos.

Now lets face it. is the below picture not Ibadan? Where is the rural area in that picture? Please could post the so called Bodija to prove me wrong?

Lasgidi is my inheritance.

Fools!!!!! Only posting pictures of old rural areas! Come to Bodija Estate, Come to Challenge Ibadan, Come to Oluyole Extension and take pictures of world class settlements. Senseless igbo people!!!! Greedly acquired money has neither given u d fulfillment u so much craved nor true Love, u started killing your wives....It's too late for u to find out that "Joy of life consisted not in the aboudance of the things possessed" igbos can't just stop envying the fact that Yorubas are naturally happy people. diametrically embittered Sad souls called igbos ...now you constantly intrude a purely Yoruba thread with your bitterness and hopelessness. Haters shall die hating, Yorubas shall keep rising. [/s]
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Removes Information About His Wife From Church Website, by TUNFOL: 8:11pm On Aug 31, 2014
baby124: How does the church member's dressing affect you in church. Until Nigerian's learn to mind their business and stop being sexually frustrated and repressed. Then will you have self control and focus on your life. Travel abroad and see what women are wearing. If you touch them all with the excuse that they tempted you, then you will begin to understand what self control is. In fact you will force yourself to learn it. It is not what is on the outside that matters but what is on the inside. For example, pastor Chris who dresses to a T is a big cheat. Those girls wearing revealing clothes probably have more favor in God's sight. God is not fooled by false pretenses and outside appearances for he sees our hearts. So learn to control yourself. When you see a woman dressed revealing, don't convince yourself that she is trying to tempt you. You may just get more than what you bargained for. Face the message in church and not the breast in front of you.lmao
What happens to "Let your moderation be known to all men, behold the Lord is at hand" (Phil 4:5).
Nairaland GeneralRe: True Life Story: My Ordeal With An Alien/Demon/Witch by TUNFOL: 3:33pm On Aug 30, 2014
When in primary 4-5, I stayed with my maternal grandmother. She prayed a lot. At night and in the morning, she spent hours praying and very committed in the church (anglican). One morning, the old woman(then around 75) woke up, said her prayers and went to the front of our house, adjacent to the major street and began to place serious curses on whosoever came in as spirit to terrorize her @ nite. She specifically mentione surpressing spirit (in my place, it is called 'orinrin') he placed curse for almost an hour, mentioning noone's name but whosoever. That was strange to me and I asked her what the problem was and she explained that some wicked people (witches and wizards) do come in spirit form to terrorize people. Later as I started growing up, I also experienced it. The mention of the name 'Jesus' drives them away. I truly believe it is a spiritual attack.
BusinessRe: ATM Fee: CBN Lied To Us by TUNFOL: 9:27am On Aug 27, 2014
NaLaugh: Wait, were all ATM transactions free in Nigeria?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but by my math - this adds up to about 40 cents ONLY WHEN you use a 3rd-party ATM 3 times a month.
I understand the economic climate in Nigeria is rough, but come on.. that's a pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

If it makes you feel any better, here is what it costs each time i use a 3rd-party ATM.

ATM fee: $2.50 -$4 (could be up to $20 in some establishments like clubs etc)
PLUS
Out of network charge: $4 (charged by my bank- for having the audacity to use any other ATM)

Therefore, most times i use the ATM, it costs the Naira equivalent of about NGN1,050 - NGN1,300 ($6.50 - $8 ).

While i am not advocating the CBN's move, i'm just saying- it could be worse. Interconnectivity costs money.

Then again, they probably should have done their sustainability study a little better, to know if or not they could keep that up in the first place.
U must be silly to compare banks and dia operations in watever God-forsaken-country you are with the kind of the one rendered plus lots of hidden charges we pay here. My organization is still in court with a bank who has been charging a client indiscrimately since the past 5 years.
PoliticsRe: 480 Nigerian Soldiers Flee To Cameroon by TUNFOL: 8:44pm On Aug 25, 2014
D gentility of tiger is not a sign of cowardness. Even the yoruba will tell U that that 'agbo to feyin rin, agbara lo lo mu wa(when a ram rushes back in a fight, it has gone to garner energy). Also, he who fights and run away lives to fight another dat. In the Bible, ladies and gentlemen, when Elijah disgraced and killed all the prophets of baals, Jezebel, a woman, treatened to take his life, and the man who just commanded fire. From heaven had 2 run for his life. As a matter of fact, he had to blackmail God by saying that he was the only one remaining out of all his prophets. And God told him to shut up that he still had more than a thousand of his kind living. So..., u won't blame the 480 soldiers. There is always a time to run away. Afterall, 'moja mosa lahun makikanju 'logun' if u don't know d meaning, ask ur neighour.
CareerRe: Bankers & Professional Bankers Discussion Thread by TUNFOL: 2:17pm On Aug 15, 2014
Candid advice: If you desire to be grounded in real practice of Banking, then do CIBN. Mind you in many banks (especially, new generation banks) no one cares about your CIBN. There is a law in the CIBN act that criminalises practising banking without registration with CIBN . It actually prescribes 2yr jail term for offender. The act also prevents people who are not charterred Bankers from holding technical position in the banking sector. The truth is dat in practice, it is never enforced. You that has CIBN, and someone who has Bsc will be on d same level. He might even move ahead of U, if he can bring Accounts. The only thing U have ahead of him is knowledge. ICAN is better than CIBN because the later is limited to the banking sector. With ICAN, u can function in all industries because every organization needs the service of Accountant and Auditors. Though CIBN has started giving liscence to practice to members to boost entrepreneurship, but it is not as lucrative as ICAN's because the job of an external Auditor is statutory to prepared financial statement. Somebody like me for instance, I have ACIB and ACCA. I had ACIB when I was serving and even when I joined banking (despite my ACIB) I was recruited as a contract Staff because I have HND. Today, I have left banking for private practice and the truth is dat my ACCA is more useful than CIBN
