So like i said on my previous post... i have been able to secure a date for an interview in Abuja for October after overcoming so many hurdles for like 10months... now my question is;

Please what are the document i need to carry along while going for the interview apart from my Passport, Ds160 confirmation and appointment printout

I am asking this cause i am just trying to prepare myself ahead... i do not want to mess this up..

I paid my MRV since MAY last year.... i was about giving up on the fee... in fact i was about paying another MRV but as God will do his wonder, i just gave it my last try by making another ticket... and boom! they responded to me and ask me to try using my old payment receipt number to continue the appointment booking which i tried and it worked magic.... so i guess you can mail the lagosNIV according to Mr AdisaMighty suggestion.... and still keep on tackling the AVIT people with more tickets simultaneously.

So after mounting so much pressure and creating countless ticket for not able to use my GTB MRV to book appointment it has finally been resolved Today...
And i am glad to let you all know that i i have booked my appointment for October 6th, but i will still like to know if anyone can enlighten me on how to reschedule to get earlier date and also... i want to know if correction can be made on my DS160 or if i fill another DS160 can i still use it for this same appointment...

I will really appreciate if anyone can help or guild me through this...

Please i need help on this since i am unable to sort out this MRV i paid since May 2024 from gtb i want to ask if i can just le it go and pay another fee with first bank since people are still getting chances of booking date this year and early next year...

Please i will appreciate if i can get help from here so that i will know what next to do...

I have done this twice all to no avail... I don't even know what to do again... i am already thinking of paying another MRV via first bank cause this waiting seems like forever ooooo my $185(259k) in May 03 this year.... now if i have to pay a new fee i am not thinking of anything less than 315k no be die be this? may God help us oooo...

i am telling you... this is really driving me cr**y i swear... Month of May till now is such a long time to be waiting on something we do not know when the response will come.... and what if this issue is not sorted then it means i have lost the 259k/185$ just like that

I truly sorry if i disturb you guys in anyway.... but i still have issue with appointment booking
i paid my visa fee with GTB since May 2nd, 2024 before the migration... due to what i can not possibly explain here... i was unable to book and appointment till now...
i have raised ticket and no response....
Recently i tried booking a fresh appointment and after filling processing i was asked to input my payment receipt number which i did.
After putting the number there is what i got...

Please i am running out of time and options
Please someone should help me out!!!

You are welcome. I had the same issue. paid to Gtb,couldnt pick a date in old portal,got migration email in September, stuck on pending request since then (2 months), raised tickets,called ,had chats with AVITS,nothing until i discovered this on the embassy main site some days ago. it was resolved within 2 days by the embassy directly. Make sure you attach all the documents and screenshots, and say if its renewal or normal consulate interview you are trying to schedule. Prayerfuly,it will be resolved by them. i signed up on this group just to share this, because it was very frustrating for me too. All the best.

Pls what did you do because i have similar problem too.... i have paid via Gtb since over couple months now still not able to book appointment and i have lodged complain afterwhich i got to chat with one person from AVITS and since then my complain has been ON HOLD and it's over 2months now... i really do not know what else to do...

I am having issue with my appointment booking since couple months now...
some good people have tried to help on here by explaining what should be done on that regard...
My visa fee was paid with my GTB and for that reason i have made a complain which after like 10days, someone replied to the the ticket by saying;
"Thank you for contacting the U.S. Visa and American Citizens Support Service. We understand that you're unable to register your payment to schedule an appointment. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for sending your payment receipt. Your issue has been escalated to our support desk for further assistance. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We hope you find this information useful. Please visit www.usvisaappt.com for further details. Best Regards, U.S. Visa and American Citizens Support Service"

And since then my ticket has been on hold for reasons unknown to me....
Please can anyone help so i will know what next to do cause i am really freaking out right now....

1. Your agent likely paid your VISA fee with the old method (GTB), but could not start the appointment booking for you b/cos your then CGI profile was at the state of " pending appointment request" in which he or she cannot do anything until the embassy grant the request. * Tell your agent to visit the new website (AVITS) in order to sign up for you and open a complain ticket, by attaching your VISA fee payment receipt or previous appointment, and explain the situation, perhaps, the embassy will activate your profile with access to continue with your appointment booking. VISA fee payment is actually valid for one year.

2. No matter how strong the status of your brother in the USA, or how richer he is, you must individually prove to the consular that you have ties to Nigeria , genuine intentions, and especially, the utmost importance of your visiting. The entry-record of your brother will also be put into consideration, because the embassy will conduct a background checks on him. People have abused the old open-doors of visiting blood relatives, hence, it is now one of the hardest routes.

3. If you are an established personality in Nigeria, with good overall profile (ie travel history, academic, family, business etc), and your brother is about to wed, or his children are about graduating from college or he wants you to come and facilitate a joint-family business etc, then, your B1/B2 VISA application success can be placed on 85/100%. Otherwise, i would rather you applied on your own, ie study or personal visit without dragging your brother into it.

So I have couple questions I would like to ask;
1. I have a payment for my B1/B2 visa fee since may this year and I have filled out and submitted the ds160 form but the issue is that I have the appointment booking to an agent and paid him because I thought he could help me get earlier date but unfortunately he hasn’t been able to book me an appointment till now pls what advise can anyone give me pls?

2. I saw a post on here few minutes ago that led me to asking this this question, I have a brother in the USA and he was the one that ask me to apply for the visiting visa, though he’s already a citizen and also has he’s on running company. So my question is that can I still go ahead with the visa processing since he would be the one to submit POF?
