Mama it's difficult for me to recommend o. Please read through previous posts by other mamas here and in the IVF thread to enable you make decisions. A lot of things comes into play in IVF that affects chances of success.
Thank you for the reply.
I understand what Ivf entails as Iv been on the journey for over a decade and it’s more about your body and less about the hospital.Am just looking into getting few good hospitals then make my decisions for surrogacy not ivf.Ild read older posts thank you.

My experience with Grabbo was not a good one. I chose them based on recommendations from a friend who used them and got a bfp. I learnt the hard way that one needs to be careful of some of these fertility hospitals that do promo. The whole thing ended in a bfn. Even when I asked for the lab test results, the nurse told me everything is ok and that they don't usually give results. Also when the doctor increased my dose of injections during stimming proper communication was not done and I had to tell the nurse on duty that the dose was increased as she didn't go through my file properly and this was done a day before when a different nurse attended to me.There have been complaints about the hospital recently. And as regards Charitos Bo I heard it's her husband's hospital, I read a bad review about him here on nairaland, don't know if it's true or not.
Can you recommend anyone?.I come into the country just twice a year and with this covid July is out of the picture that’s why am looking for one that stays open over the December holidays.

yeahh thats my other option. To hold on with TTC until things regulate. Its just that i have read of people who have ended up not seeing their flow for years and if i can do anything to fix it now i wont mind. This "period" relationship is a love and hate one lol. Thanks Tutu.

Do you feel hot flushes or really bad headaches/migraines?.If you do then disregard my earlier advice and don’t wait as that would be menopause sneaking in as all our biological clocks ticking.

Hello mamas

Please i need some guidance. I had always had a very regular circle and flow since i started menstruating, i have also had two babies with no issues or complication. We recently started TTC for our third in January and all of a sudden my period didnt show up in February. On the day it was supposed to start i only saw blood when i wiped for just one day, there was no flow, not even a drop. Pregnancy test was negative too. I wasnt too bothered, i also tracked my ovulation that month and i got very strong positives mid circle. After TWW of that circle, PT was negative as well however my flow still did not come. It repeated the same thing as february with only blood stain when i wiped and only for one day.

Ater this 2nd cycle, i went to see my Doctor and she prescribed Primolut N. After taking the Primolut i still did not bleed. It was just the same blood stain after wiping. No recent weight gain/ loss, i dont think i am stressed and my hormone tests are fine.

I am really clueless as to what is going on or what to do. I just want my flow back or atleast get some assurance that even without the flow, ovulation is still happening.

Has anyone had their periods stop suddenly? how were you able to get it back? I know positive OPK doesnt confirm ovulation actually happened, how do i really confirm if i am ovulating? my Doctor wants me to keep trying for another 3 months before any intervention but I dont want to go on a TTC journey when i am infact not ovulating. Please help recommend how i can get my periods back or how to confirm if i am actually ovulating
I was going to say stress but you already said you don’t feel stressed. To confirm you are ovulating most times the body discharge about that period becomes very clear and sticky but some women don’t have this or fail to notice.Medically you could can do a progesterone,FSH and LH blood test.
Perhaps listen to your doctor and give it a few more cycles your body may normalise on its own.

Thank you for this information. This TTC journey leaves you so vulnerable and it’s difficult to know who is who.About documentation i don’t understand why a staff would refuse to give you a copy of your result as you need it for your own research too.

I think it's a good result cos it shows you ovulated.
No sis,it’s not a good result as it is too high so will be difficult or almost impossible to release an egg.

I think it's a good thing meaning u are ovulating well....not sure...someone should correct me
Actually it is not good as too much of everything is bad.It indicates there maybe an issue with your ovaries.Do you by any chance have irregular periods or polycystic ovary syndrome?.
Please do not self medicate,go back to your doctor with the result.

Good morning fruitful mothers in the house. Pls I need your advice on this issue. I am 30yrs and I and hubby been trying to conceive since 2016, after test results the problem is coming from hubby. He was diagnosed with Azoospermia, with that am still working in faith with him that God can change things, just recently my mother has been telling hubby to take another wife. Is not that am a bad wife to them .Am good to everyone wch they always confirm that too. But since my mother inlaw altered that from her mouth my love for hubby and his families gradually decline. Pls do u think I can do. Only you can understand my pain. Thanks.
I am married to a first son from a polygamous family so I understand your struggle though mine is a female factor.
Since your Hubby knows it’s a male factor so he himself would not take a second wife as the problem will still remain. In Azoospermnia the semen has barely there or no sperm at all in his ejaculation but there are treatments as sometimes there is a blockage somewhere so a minor surgery to retrieve the sperm directly from the testes with a needle can be done. Also you have the option to do icsi instead of conventional ivf.If both cases above fail there is always sperm donation.
Just remain calm and don’t reveal that it is their son that has the issue. At this stage, you and hubby discuss this amongst yourself without involving family members and everything will be fine eventually.I hope this helps you.

I think we can be a bit more accomodating dear sis. Let's not forget that there are those here who went through the ivf journey, got pregnant and delivered successfully. They are still here and she could learn one or two things from them.
Okay.

Is this ovulation prediction kit result ositive or negative?
I can’t see the ovulation kit so wouldn’t know.
Most come with instructions so follow it.The best on the market so far though costly is clear blue as it predicts the exact day with a smiley face clearly displayed so you don’t start worrying is that a line or not.Hope this helps.

PLEASE HELP, I have been testing positive to blood PT for six months now but I am not pregnant, done US,done TVS,no etopic, empty womb.
Hi.You might need to ask your doctor to refer you for a hormone profile test as sometimes they are not balanced. Can i also calm you down by letting you know it is quite common and can be corrected.Few years ago i started producing breast milk for no reason and on testing it was my prolactin messing about.

I got pregnant through ivf. And i asked a simple question. I don't see where the word ' insensitive' is coming from
I simply meant they will know what you are asking better since they are all pregnant already in that forum.
“Insensitive” in that most people here are not pregnant so will not know from personal experience what you ask.
You have graduated and that is a very good thing.

Guys im emotionally drained and i was feeling God is punishing me for my past abortion. But after today i realized he died for my sins and i am forgiven. So ive been ttc for a year now. actively from december last year and i dont know whats wrong. Ive noticed i no onger have ewcm so maybe im not ovulating. Is it possible i have reached early menopause at 28...please any ideas cuz im sooo anxious. started clomid 50 mg this cycle....from the 5th day of my cylcle but i am now in the 15th day of my cycle and i have not ovulated and still no egg white cervical mucus.....helpp...anyone in a similar situation pls

also my cycle changed fom 28 days to 25days...i was ovulating early last year with the 28days before we started trying.... so what changed
I’m not a Judge so if you took the decision to have an abortion that’s between you and your maker.TTC for a year is a little early to worry too much. You can walk into any pharmacy and buy ovulation kits this would give you a better picture.
It is a bit premature to go into menopause at 28 but not impossible. You need to carry out medical tests to know what is going on.

@Tutu84. Thank you so much for your reply. I do appreciate. I Dnt know if you can remember your step by step for the frozen transfer process. Did you take progesterone injections morning and night. How long were you on the progesterone injections. Also did you take progesterone pessary. If you do. When did you take it and for how long also. Thanks tutu

Everyone,s Journey is different to be sincere.

I stayed on the progesterone pessaries vaginally morning and night till the pregnancy was confirmed negative so a little over two weeks as i started it three days before FET.I Also took aspirin and prednisolone steroid tablets(There is also progesterone in oil injection but did not take that in this cycle).

I have used my eyes to see the unseeable in this TTC journey.

Hello mamas , pls I need assistance. Who has done frozen transfer and got a positive and gave birth. Pls I want to know what the process looks like and the step by step. Involved

Thanks
It is exactly the same as Ivf the only difference is that instead of the embryo being transfer when it has fertilised it is frozen and put back to you in another cycle.
This may be because you were for example bleeding or had Ohss(Ovarian hyper stimulation)and your body needs to calm down from the swollen ovaries.
Few days to your transfer you would be given progesterone and prognova(in my case)to thicken the lining of your uterus and your frozen embryo thawed and introduced through your cervix then it’s you 2 weeks wait.
Scientifically there is no real evidence that the outcome is any different from using fresh embryo so success or failure is determined by your body.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Tutu,I have never thought of doing it illegally,I thought it is also an open thing in Nigeria just as we have blood banks and sperm banks. I am just asking if we have a hospital that does such so I can be referred.

Speak to someone at Nordica fertility and El-Rapha hospital both in Abuja. They would talk you through the process.

Yes Google is a good way to start so you equip yourself with knowledge when you suggest options to your Doctors as some of them would try to brush you off.The cervix is not happy sometimes and it takes a few trials so don’t relent just yet.

Thank you sis, hospitals do it in India and other western countries with the consent of the couple. The couples prefer to give to other families trying for children instead of disposing them because they consider they are already babies and have the right to live.
Yes,In my reply i did say tell it can be done with consent else it is illegal for the hospital to just give you.Not only India and the west there are hospitals in Nigeria that do it as well but it isn’t a very straightforward process plus embryo donation and embryo adoption are slightly different things.Good luck on your journey and do a bit more research.x.

Do hospitals give up abandoned Frozen embryos for adoption? Or is there anyone who has extra frozen embryos and will like to give it up for adoption rather than destroying them?
It is illegal for a hospital to give you frozen embryo most unused ones are either frozen for the couple, donated for medical research or destroyed with permission. However with consent a couple can give you with a legal contract such as in surrogacy and it makes sense to use the hospital as a go between so you never meet each other just baseline health information. There is a lot involved in trying to do it privately and you need to consider the big picture as it usually ends in tears if not done properly.
If this fails you can consider adoption.

It’s a set of metal rods that go up in sizes i want to say the smallest is 0.5.Its lubricated before it is inserted.

The last option when all has failed according to my small knowledge is hysterscoptic shaving.

Also for your own benefit you can’t go wrong with exercises do your squats everyday as it works your pelvic floor.

Flesh and blood did not reveal it to you grin. Please i still await response to my first question. Anybody please?
The price of 25m threw me and i forgot to reply your first question.
Can i ask a few questions though?.Besides Blood does your cervix ever get trapped with Pus? and does it narrow down or close completely?.I ask because in some severe cases,a speculum cannot even pass through for an examination.
I feel you need to do a pelvic examination/cervical smear and also see a qualified gynaecologist.Theses days they put in a cervical stent which is that Catheter you talked about for far less than that 3months you had yours catheter in BUT in some woman like yourself that doesn’t work and a dilator is inserted and gradually a bigger size is put in till it holds.
Endometriosis sometimes causes stenosis while some people were just born that way.
You should never result to washing your cervix in Traditional herbs or all them so called yoni steaming(I tried it on advice and was in hospital battling for my life!) as once you introduce an infection there it all goes down hill and you don’t want a hysterectomy as your goal is children.
Hope this helps and Good luck.

Good Morning all. Please can anyone tell me where and how to treat acute stenosis of the cervix? The normal catheter is not working for me. Any time i remove the catheter the cervix closes back (even after three months)and it results to menses being trapped in the uterus. i have done three IVFs, one IUI and two hysteroscopy. Please i need anyone that has seen or gone tru the same issue to push me in the right direction. i am also considering surrogacy. One hospital in Abj said 25M. My people how many yrs will i save up such amount when i am not a govt official. Am really cry . Blendy and all the sabi mamas make unah put mouth.
Yes it does cost a lot between 6-20million Naira which is sad as success is not guaranteed and depends if you are doing gestational or surrogacy.Deda hospital Abuja does it for about 9.5m which covers everything including legal but still a lot of money if you ask me.
This 25m must be Diff hospital Abuja as they allow you to do multi cycles till pregnancy is achieved as i researched into them.

Yes I was given progesterone injections and it has shown that progesterone injections results to more successful pregnancies when compared to progesterone pessary alone. I live in Texas too
Though cny can be stressful because it’s in New York but from what I had heard from a face book support group, you can advocate for your treatment options and they will support you and the also have a payment plan.Am also thinking of going to Nigeria but it will be stressful and I will spend more so am think cny where I would advocate for myself will also be a good option for me. Most traveling patients do their monitoring at their state and send the results to the patient portal and then go to New York for retrieval and transfer
I live in London and have had a few failed cycles here but had one successful one at the bridge clinic Abuja that resulted in the birth of twin girls who passed away due to extreme prematurity. What Ild say is Nigeria use high dosage and are more aggressive think back to the medications you took and also believe it or not you are more relaxed when you come home and not rushing to work and such so your body channels that energy. This is not to say some people don’t get their positives in the west.

Thank you for your response. I think is less 6million. My results are in the clinic.
Always ask for a copy of your medications, procedures and receipts so you can refer back to it in the future regardless of the outcome. It also helps you do your own research and compare results.
Some Doctors make the situation sound worse than it is because of financial gain or prescribe things you can do about it and if you are ignorant of your exact situation you will play along.Best wishes.

Very low sperm count.
One block tube. Over 40yrs
Thank you
When you say very low what is the figure?.Icsi usually helps as the sperm is injected directly into the egg and removes the stress of ivf where the sleek is out in a dish and has to swim into the egg.
You don’t need your tubes for assisted conception so if your tube is blocked don’t worry too much.
Most centres will accept ladies between 18-45 so being over 40 just means you have a reduced success rate especially if you use your own eggs so check with your specialist where you are at in terms of ovarian reserve/amh.
