Vorpal: Nobody owns a man. He belongs to God(even that is opened to the man).
But talking about who has more influence, depends on the man and what level either of the two played an inextricable role in his life. So say they have sacrificed same? |

Just as the topic suggests.
Nairalanders I would really love your opinion on this controversial topic that has put tension on mother-son relationships and husband-wife relationships.
Who is that one person that really owns a man; his wife or his mother?
Who is that one person he is to stand by regardless of any circumstance?
Who comes first in both?

Simple. Open up to your husband and take whatever he throws at you rather than beating yourself up. I won't lie, you fvcked up big time and though you are trying to cover it up with the absence excuse, it just doesn't cut it. You should have just communicated your loneliness to your husband rather than cheating on him.
It's a mistake, you say. Well make sure it stays that way. Cut whatever ties you have with this lover of yours and focus your all into your marriage. |

torqque7: Smh..some people sef,and what part of it doesn't make sense? Just a simple sermon and yal twisting and blowing it out of proportion . He is only trying to say don't be dragging shoulders with your husband simple,so what's bringing slave issue here?
This is why alot of women are still single and others having issues in their homes or broken marriages. It's a simple advice so women should either take it or leave it,but one thing is sure, there are consequences and a price to pay for every decision made, especially bad decissions, any woman who thinks her husband cannot be above her should definitely be ready for the consequences of her actions. He who has ears let him hear. ...And he that has sense, use it Good day. |

WindUpMerchant: So what's your point miss twaci? Hey Merchant. All I am trying to say is; We are to be submissive to our husbands, yes but that's not to be forced upon us like choiceless slaves. We are to love and respect our husbands out of our own violation. We may not be equal with our husband but our opinions and suggestions should be acknowledged and respected. A marriage is a union not a master-slave relationship as the pastor have painted it to be. |

OwoLee: Yeah, I wanna ask you, does the bible pages lack reasoning or how do you want to interpret those clearly stated verse. It is clear that today, you all interpret the pages of the bible the way it soothes you. Truth is bitter, you can soothe yourself now but will God be happy with on the day of judgement with your characters to your husband? This, my friend, is called shooting yourself on the foot. Because I feel the bible passages used were interpreted in a way it would favor his message |

donnie: He is not trying to say anything... A facebook page admin just decided to share one of the MOG's old messages. As chriatians, we walk by faith, not by reason. Topic: Who is a HUSBAND and What is His Role? By Rev. Chris OyaKhilome Dsc DD If he didn't, why give him credit? Walking by faith can be rightly used by any religious group you know... Muslim terrorists can use it as a reason to kill "unbelievers"....they believe they are the tools of their "God"....that's working by faith... Pagans too walk by faith as there's nothing to assure them they are doing the right thing....just faith You shouldn't hide behind that phrase mister as it is not wide enough to cover you. What doesn't make sense doesn't...and this doesn't. |
Christianity Etc › Re: "Husband Means Master" - Chris Oyakhilome by Twaci(f): 5:12pm On Sep 07, 2016 |
donnie: Settle down, read the post again, you will find your answers and peace thereby. Husband does not mean the male partner in a marriage, husband means master. The reason for most problems in Christian marriages is the fact that women refute God’s definition of marriage and form theirs. They believe they are equal partners....
In marriage, you have the man who is the head of that union and because he’s the head of that union, its important to understand him. You think he’s the one that needs to understand his wife and that is where you are wrong. He will eventually but you have to know the type of man you are married to and his needs. When you say you are marrying a man, you are coming under his authority. The Bible says, the man is the head of the woman (1 Corinthians 11:3) so when you marry him you come under his authority, you are not authority sharers even though you are both heirs to the kingdom of God.When you decide not to subject yourself to that authority, you are a rebel and God is not going to accept what you are doing because you are not functioning correctly. Oh I did... I think you should too. Is he trying to say this was what he had expected of his exwife? Was that why they had issues? I am not a feminist but I know darn right when something lacks reasoning. And this does.... |
