Religion/Believe system has everything to do with a State, my friend. For a fact, development is an ideological concept interwoven in religion and exercised through a system of governance.

The development experienced in western nations is deeply rooted in their values,: value for human life & welfare, integrity and the rule of law. This are contrary to Islam values of sharia laws, loyalty and less value on human life's.

A clear reason why Muslim nations struggle with democratic governance. And why, very few or less than 5 predominantly islam countries practice democratic governance as at today. Islam nations thrive in monarchical/, military / Authocratic governance. Saudi, Gabon, Iran.
