@ 33% my doctor told me it was too low for a pregnant woman and instantly added folic acid & BH12 blood syrup to my pregnacare drugs while "warning" me that my PVC must get to 38% - 40% before my due date else am looking at blood transfusion during delivery(I reject am)...Have been on my drugs and going for another PVC count tomorrow...Hoping I would have improved.

That your doctor sabi scare person sha? 38% to 40%? How many persons can boast of that? 33% is ok for normal delivery, 30% is the least approved by WHO. Always good to get to 35%, with that no fear of shock in case of much bleeding during n after delivery. I wish you an improved pcv tmrw.

Even mesef tire for the way he delivered the message as if the situation dey critical.

Wot trimester are you? By 35 to 36 weeks 25% is bad and an indication for transfusion. If it's a teaching hosp u r using they won't let u go into labour with 25% incase there's much bleeding during delivery. If you r in 2nd trimester, try n build it up. Tk your iron tablet with vit c n eat veggies n red meat everyday. I suffered anaemia in my first 2 pregs despite all i did to increase it, so am talking from experience. May your case be better. Am 33% at 35+weeks yet doctor no gree me rest. Saying I must have reached 38% - 40% before my EDD. Na to begin drink raw blood like vampire remain coz transfusion during delivery isn't in my prayer point.

You massage the perineal area with mineral oil eg olive oil, you do the normal squats buh hold on to a chair or table for support. I read that it reduces/ prevents tears during childbirth. you start a few weeks to your EDD like 30 weeks.

Can I still partake in this exercise? Am 35+ weeks gone already. FTM. The tot of tears during childbirth dey give me fever I swear.

If I can still partake then teach me....The perineal area + oil dey interest and unlike VIRTUOUSWIFE am not afraid of where it leads to

I guess you should speak to your doctor to advise properly....Even for a non pregnant woman 25% is low.

@ tyconcepts - nothing serious happened. Your system just rejected the food. Could be that you ate too fast, too much or there wasn't enough pepper in it. But there is really no big deal about it since you feel better after taking the peppersoup. That was really the perfect thing to take after.

U rushed the food na and u come chop am belle full. It happens sha, ur tummy don grow and ur stomach don small so u need to eat small portions. If u chop plenty u go get indigestion that makes u wanna throw up.

It happened to me 2 nights ago. Husby bought bananas late at night around 10. I had already eaten and ready to sleep buh long throat no gree me. I went to the sitting room, munched on them and watched TV. I ate it all cos I knew by morning everybody will join me and eat. I was done by 12 only for me to lie down and feel nausea. I quickly sat up, na so I no fit sleep till 5am o, for fear of vomitting if I dare laid down.

At the last trimester, the baby dislodges the intestines and pushes them way up. You get full quickly, digest slowly and can easily vomit it.

I forgot to mention I have longer throat now....Yes I rushed the food and paid the price. Mama put's food has never tasted better even when DH didn't enjoy it, I did. I don learn my lesson coz I no gbadu the vomiting thing at all. Ama eat like aje butter now, slow and steady.

The vomiting is probably due to the sweetness of the soup- mama put's food usually have no pepper at all n that could irritate your system or you probably ate too much too soon...pele dear.

@all, just a few days ago, I had no waddling whatsoever but since yesterday, my ligaments z gone so relaxed I now have a sharp pull in my upper left bum area. To walk now is Alleluia, to turn sides in bed is to 1st sit up n say a prayer...in all we thank God!

I can't wait to drop my LO coz at 35wks+ am already tired and eager. FTM tho'

Had an experience on Saturday, no appetite for anything in the house, mama put's food was the only thing I crave...DH took me to one in town and mehnnn I enjoyed the food (Vegetable soup & Eba) but like 10minutes later, I couldn't explain my restlessness, told DH I feel like vomiting which was unusual coz I never experienced MS throughout. I vomited all I ate including my drugs, yet the restlessness didn't end...Vomited like twice again and DH was fidgeting for us to go to the hospital but I stubbornly refused....Later felt good after drinking hot pepper soup but I still wonder what could have caused the whole vomiting saga. Anyone who can explain please??
