Although this appears to be the best approach to tackle banditry and insecurity in the country, it may not be realistic, as Nigeria has many disgruntled individuals. Small conflicts can easily spiral out of control, often with fatal consequences. Nigeria go remain very few people in few years if this bill scale through |

Politics › Re: FG Sends Message To Governors Not Paying New Minimum Wage by Typicool8(m): 3:19pm On Oct 29, 2024 |
SYSTEM222: Don't mind the clout chasing FG.
The bill was signed in June, yet there’s been no progress.
In August, the NYSC Director General issued an official broadcast stating that all corps members would soon receive the new minimum wage. This announcement raised everyone’s hopes, but only led to disappointment. We received the usual 33k late, along with another broadcast claiming the NYSC bill wasn’t signed and that funds weren’t available to pay the new minimum wage.
Corps members are struggling to survive on 33k, which barely covers basic needs.
When the 33k allowance was introduced, a bag of rice was around 9,000 Naira—you could buy three bags with your allowance in 2019. Now, a bag of rice reportedly sells for 160,000 Naira in Gombe yesterday, making it impossible for corps members to even afford a quarter of a bag with their full allowance.
I’m a corps member—a struggling one. I've gone from three meals a day to one. I'm not even joking here.
Each day, I wake up ready to fight for my survival. It’s a constant battle.
It's as if Tinubu was given a deadline to kill us. I'm a corp member myself and I really can understand what you're going through. I must confess that it's not easy, couldn't go to my ppa today due to lack of transport fare and I'm sure thousands of other corp members face the same issue. Feeding is a Herculean task now because 33k can barely cover for transport fare alone talk less of Feeding and others. The govt keep lying to us knowing fully well there's nothing we can do. It's really sad |

Education › Re: Please Help Because I'm About To Lose My Admission And My Hard Earned Money by Typicool8(m): 6:58am On Oct 01, 2024 |
Darkhq: Pardon my English I'm mot good in writing. The worst thing that can happen to you in Nigeria is to have problem and go to police station to report (especially if you the victim don't have money to give them). I've had this dream of travelling abroad to seek a better life for myself and my family so i heard this advert on radio and decided to give the agent a try. For months after paying him thousands of dollars from my struggling business, this guy haven't been able to deliver not even admission which happens to be the easiest. So i did my research and decided to try getting admission myself and i got conditional admission within few weeks to starting the process (whereas oga wey i don pay for months neva get common admission). Now, I'm suppose to pay tuition deposit to the school to allow me secure the unconditional admission. When i asked the agent to refund me the tuition fee (as per sey baba neva get admission talkless of paying school fees), he started telling me he'll contact the school, I was like "oga but you said school haven't given admission na so no need to contact them, just stop the process and pay back the tuition (I'm even willing for forefeit the processing fee i pai to him), just give me the money back". At this point thw guy started giving me stories, that was when i matched to police station to report. Na so to police officers wey i dey narrate the the story for start to open office for my head, saying I'll pay N5,000 for opening of file, I'll pay N10,000 for mobilization, I'll pay N5,000 for the paper I'm using to write statement after which they'll invite the guy (dem say na big man na), even after telling them that I'll forfeit the admission if i don't pay the tuition deposit within 5days. I just left the statement without completing it and walked away because I know already that nothing good would come out of it (I no kuku get money to dash police officers). Now na beg I dey beg the man and he's not answering me. What I'm trying to say is "if there's anyone here in nairaland that can help me to collect my money so that i can pay the tuition deposit for my school, I'll be for ever indebted. I've all the evidence of payment because everything I did was through bank account that has his name. Please Mod, help me move to front page so that those that can help me would see this. Mods kindly move to fp Mynd44 |

helinues: Still from the loser's camp
Dump excuses would be given for loosing the election instead of admitting their failure.
A sitting governor and his candidate was defeated, isn't that a sign of rejection on Obaseki precisely?
You can't rig where you are not popular fcs
So as how some people claimed President Tinubu rigged the election but that same president couldn't rig his home state, infact he couldn't rig at one of the candidates polling unit, he got zero votes. Even the agents couldn't even put that 1 vote there
When people fail in life, they start to be pointing fingers, hahaha, what direction did the remaining 4 fingers pointed to after pointing one at other?. You be fuul |
