Thank you so much, I already drafted the email, I will send it on Monday and fill you guys in. volticvox: To complain to the Home Office, you should send an email to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk. Make sure to include your personal details, GWF reference number, a detailed description of the problem you are complaining about (I suggest you write this in paragraphs with sufficient details and points to counter the refusal reasons), and attach your supporting documents.
Hope it goes well. |

Wow Congratulations! Did you go through the PAP route? Or it was just a letter you sent to their complaint email? infosoftlife: Mine took less than a month and it was overturned and I got my 10 yrs visa. |

Hi there, please when did you send the complaint and when did you get a response? Knowlegeseeking: Hi guys,
So i got a response from UKVI from the complaint i raised last week. They acknowledged that the Entry clearance manager has agreed that my application should be reconsidered. They also noted it does not mean the refusal will be overturned but a reconsideration is ongoing and even though they cannot give a timeframe for how long it would take, that i will be notified of their decision.
Even if they come back with the same decision, they should give a concrete reason that can be addressed in the next application. I'll keep you guys updated when a decision is reached.
Please can one apply for a visa renewal when the current visa has not expired? my twin's 6 months visa expires on the 21st of this month and he is looking at visiting by month end or latest first week of June. He wants to know if he can put in an application for renewal of the visa before it expires this month so he can get the updated visa and travel by month end.
Thank you. |

Good evening all, I wanted to ask if anyone here has ever sent a complaint letter to home office regarding their visa refusal and it got overturned. I also want to know how long the whole process took. |

Can you please shed more light on how I can start the complaint process? volticvox: Sorry for the refusal.
Again, this refusal holds no weight. In fact, the ECO did not give any cogent reason as to why your application was denied. A third refusal means that they have low confidence in your profile. They are dancing round the circle to ensure you are not approved. Maybe they are skeptical because you have not demonstrated familial ties through marriage, children, or even elderly parents. But then, that cannot be everyone’s reality. Maybe you lack travel history to desired countries, but at least you’ve traveled outside Nigeria a few times and back (with Qatar being a very strong economy). If you apply again, it will just lead to another refusal with a different reason. You need to take action somehow. As such, you have a strong case to file a complaint or PAP.
Your gainful employment, ownership of assets and to an extent your travel history are grounds for a good argument. I suggest you send in a complaint demonstrating how this refusal decision is unjust and flawed. Or, you can hit back by sending a PAP (a more complex route and which might take a longer time to resolve). Either ways, this is not a decision to just fold your arms and accept hook, line and sinker. At least try to change the outcome, and if it fails, try visiting the Schengen Area or USA or Canada, before attempting another time. |
