I first emailed them on May 21, and they acknowledged that my case has been forwarded to the appropriate team. I also made a few follow-up calls over the following days.

On June 1, I called again and was advised to send a reminder email, which I did.

I was eventually vetted on June 4. I think the delay in my case may have been due to the two-day public holiday (May 28 and 29), so hopefully yours gets sorted out much sooner.

I’m in the exact same situation. Sent a mail to servicom on Wednesday and they also responded that it’s been forwarded your complaint to the appropriate channel for immediate follow-up.

I went to Alausa office on the 21st and was told I can’t proceed until I get an approval. Suggestion of even paying high fee came up for the vetting to be done quickly because I was told there are some yet to be vetted since Nov last year

However I eventually sent an email to nis.servicecom and got an acknowledgement stating that my complaint has been received and has been forwarded to the right department

Did you upload all the required documents yet? because that is what the officer will vet with your application.
If yes, send an email to nis.servicom@nigeriaimmigration.gov.ng quoting your application and reference number and then explaining the situation or you can contact their helpline number +234-912-1477-092.
OR
Go to the processing office (Alausa) to get it approved and you can do your biometric capturing same day after the application has been vetted

I applied for a passport renewal and a Change of Data request (my first and middle names were mixed up) early last month. I selected the Alausa office as my processing center, but my application has still not been approved.

I heard that in some cases it can take several months, or even close to a year, for approval.

Please what can I do to fast track this thing
