I have been hearing torque converter here and there. My question is. When it’s bad, is it repairable or changeable?

If so, how expensive can it be and does the gear box needs to be removed too?

Please o, I currently drive a Camry 08 but I want to upgrade.

Now my confusion is which of these Toyota to go for. Camry 2012 -2013 or Highlander 2008 - 2011. I have outlined these due to the amount as I see that both have almost same cost and what I can afford. Toyota is my goto due to easy of maintenance and resale value.

The hose going to the highlighted nipple . That’s the one that was not fixed

I just discovered that my Toyota Camry 08 throttle plate actuator hose is not connected to the throttle at all.

One end of the hose is connected to the intake valve (I think) while the other end that is supposed to be connected to the throttle valve is not connected (they now use something to block the hose)

My car has been rough idling especially when the engine is hot. Could this be the cause?

My engineer in the house, pls help.

You have three options...

1. You will need to get a new ac compressor. Which can run you around $500. Buying a tokunbo is a big risk and it is not guaranteed to work. And yes you will need to buy a new condenser. And most importantly a new original ac freon

2. Continue using the manual compressor that will continue to wear down your engine. And eventually your engine will wear out and will need a replacement..

3. Don't use a/c at all and remove the manual compressor that is wearing down your engine..

Two customer from nairaland had the same issue. And I ordered the new ac compressor. Tear rubber brand new from Denso brand original OEM

My ac expert here, pls help, advice me.

I drive a Camry 08 4plugs

I noticed a wobble on the leg from the front passenger side. This happens mostly when I have accelerated now cruising (coming downhill) without matching on accelerator. So when I want to accelerate again I feel those damn wobble otherwise car accelerate just fine.

I have change the shafts (first I changed the outer ones of both legs) then when it continued I went to change the inner shaft cup too. But I still feel same thing.

I called a second mechanic I trust to drive and feel but he said car is fine and accelerate fine and that he didn’t notice of feel anything.

But when I drive I feel it and it even makes a wobbly sound too.

I have done wheel balancing and alignment too.

Don’t know what else to do. Pls my experience engineers help me. What could be wrong?

My car is Camry 08. Everything works fine until when I turn my AC and say on traffic, car will be shaking. In motion, you won’t even feel the load. My wahala is when I am static with gear engaged.

I have Camry 08. My wahala now is that engine doesn’t start (just rolls but doesn’t kickstart) when engine is hot until I allow it to cool off a bit. When cold, it starts in one try.

I was waiting in traffic the other day when the car off, to start became wahala. Had to allow it to cool off small.

Pls make una help my life.

Another one is Car consume fuel when I drive with ac and can be sluggish picking up speed especially on starting speed.

This needs to go so that I can have space for the new one.
