The federal university Ndufu Alike, Ikwo. just witnessed it first tarred road under the distinguished leadership of prof Chinedu Nwajiuba as the VC of the institution. The university is one of the youngest federal university in nigerian , it was established by Goodluck Jonathan regime in 2011.
The first VC was prof ode ibidapo whose tenure ended in February 2016.

The One Year Anniversary Of Prof. Chinedu Uzoma Nwajiuba As The Vice Chancellor Of Federal University Ndufu-alike, Iikwo. Ebonyi State.

It is exactly 365 days the erudite professor of Agricultural economics assumed office as the 2nd vice chancellor of one of Nigerian youngest federal institution.

The leadership style he brought into bear has uplifted and upgraded the status of the university, it ranking in nigerian universities is rising on a daily basis and this is based on its academic excellence and infrastructural revolution he has introduced in the university.
He has created an enabling environment for students and lecturers to progress in there different field of calling.

His good relationship with the host community is obvious as their is no clash between the university and the host community.

His effort to eradicate cultism in the institution is shown in his zero tolerance to cultism.

As he pioneer the affairs of the citadel of the souring eagles we pray that the word of God in Philippians 4:13 which said “we can do all things through Christ that strengthen us” enable him to build an institution that will be an example to others.

The above hymn was written after traumatic events in Spafford's life. The first was the death of his son at the age of 2 and the great Chicago fire of 1871 which ruined him financially (he had been a successful lawyer and had invested significantly in property in the area of Chicago that was extensively damaged by the great fire ). His business interests were further hit by the economic downturn of 1873 at which time he had planned to travel to Europe with his family on the SS Ville du Havure .

In a late change of plan, he sent the family ahead while he was delayed on business concerning zoning problems following the great Chicago fire. While crossing the Atlantic , the ship sank rapidly after a collision with a sea vessel, the loch earn, and all four of Spafford's daughters died. His wife Anna survived and sent him now famous telegram, “ save alone...” shortly afterward, as Spafford traveled to his grieving wife, he was inspired to write the above hymn as his ship passed near where his daughters had died.

The moral lesson of the above story is that in every situation we should always give thanks to God, even in your sorrowful hour always remember that the almighty God has not forsaken you.

After i made a withdrawal from an ATM inside the school, so i got to the junction and entered a tricycle heading to were i reside. A well dressed lady between the age of 20-24 also entered the tricycle and sat at the back with me, others entered too.

This market was well constructed by mbakwe in the early 80ths. The market was well modeled with car park, recreation park, school and a lot of social amenities to enhance the daily transaction of business.

The greedy government of today from 1999-date has damaged the market with construction of shops along the drainage therefore causing the water to run into peoples shops and lines. They also built shop on the car park, recreation ground and converted the school to shops. The aesthetic values of the market has been lost.

Those that rule the market do that with impunity , the harass and intimidate people and the impose a lot of unwarranted levies on the people .

Electorates have begun in Imo and Kogi States as residents vote in new Senatorial Representatives.

The candidates are vying for positions in Imo North and Kogi East Senatorial districts.

In Imo State, the Senatorial rerun election, accreditation and voting are ongoing simultaneously, as election experiences low turnout of voters.

The vacant seats for Imo include Okigwe North Senatorial district, Isala Mbano, Oru East and Owerri West state constituencies.

Additional police mobile force, counter terrorism units and conventional policemen have been deployed to the two states to ensure hitch-free and credible electioneering process.
