First, do a survey of salary earn by primary school teachers in your axis.
Secondly, Prepare well, teaching methods, lesson notes e.t.c. (I know you will blast)
Thirdly, I want to assume you are currently teaching and so you have experience and so you should say 45-50k except you are earning above the figure I have stated. Consider, transportation, feeding e.t.c
Their working conditions, I do not know anything but if there is one thing I have learnt about the profession, you create the working condition yourself especially for "Kereje" schools.

Sorry for the delayed feedback. My phones button was faulty. The interview was successful. It consisted of questions in English Lang., Mathematics, current affairs, Lesson Note and an essay on Teaching as a profession. We were entertained at the end. But no response yet. I tried my best especially in maths. I'm optimistic that i'll pass this 1st stage.

I just asked my source there, says it seems the corper is a relative that's why she's being paid such amount cos teachers earn BTW 25-30 or thereabout sha. some teachers were recently sacked so she's sure of the vacancies.

As per the working conditions, just OK. Remember its 3 women in charge so you know what to expect. All the best ma.

I was there a couple of years back but they offered 30 or 35k then which was too small for me so i moved on.......it depends on your negotiating power and how ok it is for you all the best

I got an invite for written interview at Apata Memorial Sch, Isolo. Does anyone have any idea abt their salary.

Take up the last WAEC question in the subject you intend teaching, do a lot of reading as regards currents affairs,elementary mathematics and English language plus pick three topics in your chosen subject and ensure you dissect them when called upon for micro-teaching.
It is a suggestion and the school may choose to use a different method, but be prepared.

I dropped my cv in some schools in my vicinity last vacation. I'm hopeful that i would be called during dis long vacation for assessment but i have no idea what to expect in the written test for secondary schools. Pls any suggestion?

I wrote Eng and maths tests at Joanah memorial sch. They said they will get back to me. Any one wt any idea abt their salary structure for freshers wt B.Sc.?

Pls does anyone have any idea abt Joanah memorial sch at Okota. I submitted my cover letter and cv today and they said they would call me for interview by Friday (tomorrow). Any information abt the written and micro teaching? What of their salary structure for degree holders?

I submitted my resume and application letter to st. Monica, Apata and st. Sylvester. I was asked many questions at st. Sylvester abt classroom management, classroom decoration, can I teach upper primary mathematics?, what are the things I would need if given an empty class to teach?, subjects I can teach etc. The woman said I would have to undergo a training on speech. She asked my expected salary and I said minimum of 35k. She said she can't pay up to that and I would need to bring my kids if I'm employed but I told her it depends on the sch fees. She said she will get back to me later in the day. I hope my salary range is not too small.

Mylod private Sch (near taiwo street opposite balogun bus stop Ago palace way) is currently recruiting. It is a montessori school. I saw their post from bike as I was passing. Any idea on their salary scale and if they can employ a B.Sc holder.

Why do you want to leave? What subject (s) do you teach?

I teach pry 4 all subjects except french and music; and I also teach pry 5 five to six subjects. The mgt of the Sch does not give the teachers room for extra benefits. We only 've our salary to spend and its grossly insufficient. Plus the teachers are made to perform other duties not related to teaching.

This is a wonderful forum and i give kudos to the originator of this thread (Golden dr) and every other great and wonderful educators/teachers that have been contributing to this thread. God bless you all, actually am growing passionate interest in teaching cos young teenagers look up to you as they get inspired most especially when the kids understand your teachings and can apply the knowledge in their everyday living and they get to like you as a person. I' m currently teaching the senior secondary students but the challenge i'm having is the female students some of them are crushing on me (making advances at me like winking eyes and blowing kisses) which is very obvious and i am trying to avoid a scandal or lose my job please great erudite scholars and teachers how do you i handle this set of students? (although am in my mid twenties just so you know) your honest opinion and critics is allowed am open to receiving it.

I strongly agree with Givemejoy. If they continue to get away with it, they will get bolder and make direct advances. Set a boundry and show them that u are there 4 their academics and moral supports.you are in charge, not them.
