These guys are just hell bent on bringing the Bank's into disrepute. The truth is that a policy review had been done and communicated to all staff effective December 15, 2016 and all cadre of affected staff received severance packages. This cost valued at about N4.8 billion was clearly reflected in the published 2016 annual financial statements. This action by the disgruntled ex-staff is highly unreasonable and a flagrant disregard for the rules of separation. My friend works at Fidelity Bank. I know that the Bank strives to ensure that all disengaged staff are treated fairly and in line with industry best practice. To even think that a trained journalist covered an event like this and did not deem it proper to balance the story by the obtaining Fidelity's side of the story is the height of unprofessionalism.
