Did you spray insecticide? If u did ? What's ur schedule?dat looks like caterpillar handiwork. weekly preferably n its recommended u use systemic n contact insecticide. It seems ur watermelon didn't get enough water n nutrients -looking from the size or perhaps you planted d sugarbaby variety.

is sugar baby the insecticide I spray is very lightly mixed I used dung and maxiforce

I need urgent help please.I went to my water melon farm this morning and saw this.please i need to know the cause and the solution fast.iv spent so much money and time on this farm.I will appreciate any help to control or stop this.

Water melon farming is easy but very technical

There is regular every day watering before the fruits And every other day since the fruits appeared

I think the problem here is excessive watering .you water like twice a week from germination and once a week wen the flowers appears and resume normal watering when the fruit sets

nice attempts big brother, u have done well to venture into my area of specialization, "watermelon farming" however to honest u are running a great risk cos from what I am seeing they are not that healthy, what is the essence of ridge or mounts when it comes to water melon farming? watermelon does not like water logged areas and it is mostly advisable that ridges are used during the raining seasons, and omitted during the dry season, they have strong roots DAT can enable them go search for water deep the ground but would those heavy mounts they are a tin line between survival and shrinking... weldone though for ur ruggedness in trying it the second time but I bet u, u still need more training. good luck though

i have to warn u, there is a report on the net that states u can not grow water melon successfully without the use of chemical insecticides. they are notoriously known to invite pest. If it were a greenhouse growth it wud b another tin entirely. jst giving u heads up to prepare chemicals aside incase they start attacking it dat way u wont lose much. from just d backyard experiment i conducted recently under organic conditions, o boy pest destroyed everytin leaving only one melon for me, bf i could even harvest just dat one, borers got in and condemned it.

you are right bro,though am using organic instead of fertilizer but I have good insecticide and fugucides.they are well protected

Am happy to say that a nairalander is helping me with advice and consultancy free.

I used only pig and fowls droppings
.am doing pure organic farming.
