Make sure to write your Will and put your house together in order before embarking on the journey to the SE for Christmas. Remember to say your last prayers too before leaving home. |
The Indigenous People of Biafra has urged Ndigbo in Nigeria and the Diaspora to return home for the Christmas festivities, assuring them of adequate security across the South-East during the Yuletide.https://punchng.com/ipob-urges-ndigbo-to-celebrate-christmas-in-east-promises-security/

Another day to be alive. Grateful always. |
Mr Seun, this is an interesting topic, please, let's have a broader view of what other people have to say about this. |
I challenge them to start using the same admission scale used by other normal universities. I hope they can pick on this challenge if they are sure of their educational method to produce billionaires. |
They don’t “produce” billionaires — they admit them. Let’s be honest: schools like Harvard, Stanford, or MIT aren’t magical factories turning ordinary students into billionaires. They simply attract the brightest, most ambitious, and most connected individuals from the start — people who would likely have succeeded anyway without attending those schools. When you admit students who already have exceptional intelligence, access, drive, and family resources, it’s no surprise that a few of them later become billionaires. That’s not the university’s achievement — that’s selection bias. Take someone like Mark Zuckerberg. He entered Harvard already building innovative software projects in high school — and then dropped out to build Facebook. Does Harvard get credit for that? Or did he just pass through? If these so-called “elite” schools truly believe in the power of their education, let them admit average students — the kind of students community colleges or public universities educate every day — and let’s see if their “world-class” training can produce the same results. Until then, it’s unfair to say Harvard creates billionaires. It merely collects them. Other universities with less prestige often do the real work — taking ordinary students and helping them rise. But those institutions don’t get the same spotlight because they lack the PR machine that elite schools have. In truth, Harvard and similar institutions are opportunistic — taking glory for success that largely comes from the individual qualities of their students, not from any superior academic formula. They can only impress those who don’t understand how selective admission works. True greatness in education is measured by transformation — not by pre-selection. |
They don't produce nada. Why can't they admit ordinary students, not the one with high grades who already have propensity to do well in life. They attract people like Mark Zuckerberg (he eventually did not finish the university) who even if they did not attend the university are already doing well academically. Those universities are not better than other universities who are not on the list. They are only opportunistic universities taking glory where they did not work. I challenge them to admit normal student using the same threshold used by other universities who are not on the list and let see whether the "excellency" of their academic program can give them the same outcome. They can only decieve the unsmart. Harvard is not the best university.... they can be call the best until they admit normal student like some other university and then train then to be the best. |
This is another Day and we are happy to be alive. |
Do the Chinese, Lebanese and Indians have the same citizenship benefits as Ibos in Nigeria? Until you start telling your group the truth, people will keep taking your activities as a joke. You're the one that has been mentioning and referring to your colonist like they are still holding your neck today, so you should know where you get your colonial mentality. You're not our (Yoruba's) slave, so we don't old your destiny from separating from Nigeria. Stop asking for our unity. That you want to leave Nigeria does not mean Yoruba too should start doing nzogbu nzogbu in support. You need Nigeria mote than Nigeria need you. That is why your demagogues want to include other region who have no interest in you agitation. Unless you do gumbody with other people you yourself know that you agitation is just a joke (because you need Nigeria more than Nigeria need you) Everything else is a joke until you and your people decide to leave Nigeria the right way. gidgiddy: |
Everything is not about nzogbu, nzogbu... your people can not spread throughout Nigeria and keep migrating en mass to other region and you keep advocating for referendum. The same you want Peter Obi as the president, the same you started calling part of Yorubaland a no-man's-land, your senator proposed a bill of indigeneship in other people's region, the same you wanted to steal land belonging to other people's region and add to your Biafraland. It was one of your leaders that catalysed the removal of referendum clause from the Nigeria constitution. If Nigeria was not created by the agreement of some people using a constitution, is it by nzogbu nzogbu? When your people are realy ready, they will start moving homeward and take the right step. Every other activity is just a joke. gidgiddy: |
"What we should do is come together, admit that the British should never have brought us together,..." Your statement above is unity begging and no one is coming "together" to do anything with you. Your senators need to table the concern of their citizen about their wish for separation, but instead, they are creating bills to claim indigeneship in other people's land. Also, your demagogue instead of going with the land of their region, they want to claim every other regions with them who are not interested in their brouhaha. We know that you and your demagogue are not serious about leaving Nigeria as you keep migrating en mass to Yorubaland land everyday and also calling Yorubaland a "no-man's-land". You only like claiming victim and seeking for attention and means to dominate yourself and others. gidgiddy: |
Form your country. No one is stopping you. Start by recalling your senators and house of rep members. Then stop your governor from recieving the monthly allocation.... Good2go1: |
They don't want to achieve any Biafra. They themselves know it is not possible except through the proper way. Afrikahene: |
Thanks. That is who these people are. |
Keep doing your whataboutism when we are discussing important issue here and trying to educate people from following manipulators and rabble rousers into their untimely death. Nonexisting1: |
I did part of my Youth Service NYSC here. Sardauna Local government of Taraba state. You reach there after Gembu. I actually was accommodated at Mbamga, a community right on the Mambilla plateau. Food was very cheap; meat too. I'm not sure whether electricity has reach them yet. Transportation for them is also a bit difficult. Phone network service was also poor but available (plus the Cameroon roaming network). The place is just a few distance from Cameroon. The people are lovely, friendly and good. The women are very hardworking; Some of them have a culture of carrying baskets on their back. Almost everybody speak English. The temperature is always chilling cold even during sunshine. Mambilla plateau. Confession: "Sometime, I get scared whenever I look at the landscapes" Picture: That road you see those two women in the picture trekking, i have passed the same road severally.
|
That's none of my concern. Everybody have the right to support whosoever they want, even if a stone. You supported the person you like, are you their god to tell them who they should support? You people will not learn at all. gidgiddy: |
Why I don't want to add Mr. Peter Obi is that he is yet to murder any of his kinsmen for his personal ambition like these other Demagogues did. However, Peter Obi is a supporter and friend of terrorists who keep unaliving the Ibos. and destroying the economy of the SE region of Nigeria. helinues: |

The same man that came back to join Nigeria politics after wasting the life of many Igbos and without regards and respect for the deads? who also left them and ran away after putting then into tough situations and when they needed him most? He scammed them of their cash and belonging in exchange for a fake Biafra currency only to enrich himself and his family. The wife today is working with the same federal government of Nigeria, while the people are left with no succour. To the Biafra course and the dead ingenious people, what is blessed in his memory and the family he left behind? Sirianese: |
Have you ask yourself why the irrational activities of these three people led to the death of many Igbos and the retrogression of the region? kettykin: |
They cause terror in the hearts of their followers e.g with every Monday sit-at-home and also call anybody with dissenting opinion saboteur and get them murdered. There activities resulted to more death than the protection of the people they claim they are fighting for. |
In short: A demagogue thrives on emotional manipulation, division, and spectacle rather than reason, unity, and truth. A demagogue is typically described as a political leader (or influencer) who gains power and popularity by appealing to people’s emotions, fears, prejudices, and desires rather than by using rational argument, truth, or sound policy. Historically, philosophers like Aristotle, and later political scientists, have outlined their traits. Here are the main attributes of a demagogue: Core Attributes of a Demagogue 1. Appeals to Emotions over Reason - Uses fear, anger, pride, or resentment to persuade rather than logical arguments. - Exploits people’s hopes and anxieties. 2. Charismatic and Persuasive - Often has strong oratory skills. - Uses rhetorical devices, repetition, slogans, and dramatic language to stir crowds. 3. Populist Posturing - Claims to be the “voice of the common people.” - Portrays themselves as fighting against the “elites” or establishment. 4. Us-vs-Them Mentality - Divides society into “the people” (good, pure, oppressed) versus “the enemy” (corrupt elites, foreigners, minorities, etc.). - Creates scapegoats to rally people around a common adversary. 5. Exploits Prejudices - Appeals to nationalism, racism, class resentment, or religious bigotry. - Reinforces stereotypes to manipulate crowds. 6. False Promises & Simplistic Solutions - Offers easy, one-line solutions to complex problems. - Rarely provides workable policy details. - Uses exaggeration and falsehoods. 7. Attacks Institutions & Norms - Discredits the press, judiciary, or democratic checks when they oppose him/her. - Paints institutions as corrupt or enemies of the people. 8. Cult of Personality - Presents themselves as the only one who can “save” the nation or group. - Encourages loyalty to the leader over loyalty to principles or laws. 9. Manipulates Communication - Uses mass rallies, media, propaganda, or now social media to bypass critical discussion. - Repeats claims until they are believed (“illusory truth effect”). 10. Authoritarian Tendencies - Centralizes power in themselves. - Shows disregard for democratic processes, often flirting with dictatorship. Psychological & Social Tactics 1. Fearmongering: Warns of dire threats if not followed. 2. Victimhood Narrative: Claims that “the people” are oppressed and only he/she understands their suffering. 3. Aggressive Rhetoric: Uses insults, mockery, and ridicule against opponents. 4. Emotional Identification: Presents themselves as “one of you” while enjoying privileges of power. 5. Repetition & Symbolism: Heavy use of slogans, chants, and symbols to cement loyalty. Here are succinct ways to identify a demagogue Emotional Manipulation – Appeals to fear, anger, pride, or resentment more than facts or reason. Us-vs-Them Rhetoric – Divides people into “the pure people” vs. “corrupt enemies.” Scapegoating – Blames a group, minority, or outsider for society’s problems. Populist Claims – Portrays self as the only true voice of the people against elites. False Promises – Offers oversimplified solutions to complex issues. Charismatic Oratory – Uses fiery speeches, slogans, and repetition to stir crowds. Cult of Personality – Demands loyalty to the leader rather than principles or institutions. Anti-Institutional Attacks – Discredits press, courts, or government checks as enemies. Fearmongering – Warns of catastrophic outcomes if not followed. Authoritarian Streak – Intolerant of dissent; paints critics as traitors or enemies. 🔎 Demagogue Detection Checklist 1. Do they single out a group or enemy to blame for society’s problems? 4. Do they claim to be the only true voice or savior of the people? 5. Do they make sweeping promises or overly simple solutions to complex issues? 6. Do they speak in fiery slogans, chants, or repeated catchphrases? 7. Do they demand personal loyalty rather than loyalty to principles, laws, or institutions? .8 Do they attack or discredit institutions like the media, judiciary, or opposition? 9. Do they use fear or threats (“If you don’t follow me, disaster will strike”)? 10. Do they show intolerance for criticism or label dissenters as traitors? |
