Oga, you need to understand how good societies work. There is no democracy in the world where governments seize people goods earned from very legitimate means.

Where are we playing politics in this matter? Is it still a secret that this country has been brought to its knees by APC and very poor governance? Even those who voted APC now lament "ebi n pawa", in regret of their action.

How can you justify government's invasion of people's properties, in the name of hoarding of products bought with their own money? How can you justify the failure of government and the irresponsible move to blame the people?

With all the cries if the citizens in the irresponsible 16 years of PDP in power, why did state governors not back open people's warehouses to seize products? Or have you so speedily forgotten that inspite of the recklessness of PDP, prices of products were quite stable in those years?

When Buhari without proper thinking shut thr borders for years, what did he put in place to cover for the fallout? Did you not hear about the famous "Buhari's body language" that left the economy drifting for months? How has government, especially under APC made life easier for citizens?

Have you not heard Tinubu's talk about reducing the purchasing power of the people? Has he not accomplished it? How do you want to blame the businessman who sole purpose is profit making? Why not seize all the vessels carrying petrol to the country, in the name of hoarding and increasing prices? Are Nigerians not groaning and labouring under that?

Call a spade a spade. I do not think that the government of Kano state has the right to seize people's goods, especially when they do not contravene any known law.

You sounds like a typical obidient no offense… but do you know that those hoarders buys the bulk of the products directly from the company and straight to their warehouses where they hoard them. (A typical example flour, rice)
Now this step of theirs after a period of time will create an artificial scarcity in the market and as a student of economics when there’s scarcity of course u know what happens in the market… the price skyrockets. Now this create hardship and that leads to frustrations, starvation and even death. So your point is still meaningless, let the owner provide all the receipts and waybills with dates of their items and sue the state government if they are not guilty, it’s that simple. But as a typical obidient reasoning no Dey the agenda. Smh.

It’s obvious you don’t know how governments work… if you earn a legitimate money and you invest the money in an anti peoples business or company just don’t let the government know cos one’s they find out your ass is gonna be hailed and your business confiscated. Fuvck around and find out. Simple.

Stupid and meaningless move.

In the first place, were the products purchased with public or looted funds? If the products were purchased by business people, using their own personal resources, where did the Kano government find the power to confiscate the products. Or are they termed “contraband”. In the end, the reckless government will face litigations and payments for such moves.

The same was experienced under Buhari as a military head of state in 1984. In the name of essential commodities, the then FG confiscated goods worth billions from private warehouses. Nothing was achieved in the end, except more Buhari induced poverty.

Governments are known to have price control boards. We have it on paper in Nigeria. Inflation has been on a run away. Is it the fault of commodity sellers. While I am not holding brief for them, it is no longer a secret that APC has failed monumentally since 2015.

In the name of getting the naira to find its true value, the country has gone from one mess to another.

Why not deal with corruption in high places? Why not end crude stealing effectively. What is the essence of borrowing from China, USA, UK and maybe very soon Guinea Bissau? Now we are told that the same Dangote and PH refineries that we have been expecting to work, cannot receive adequate quantities of crude to refine. They have given out the future.

Jagbajantis intete.

Your point is meaningless, you and I know exactly what these people are doing, let’s not play politics and start calling or mentioning one party because as far as I am concerned they all the same so it’s better we face them individually.
Back to the matter, why do you think we unregulated prices..? What do you think when you buy an item today at a specific amount and the next day it increases by 50% then the following day another 50-100%??
In some places on the same street, people sell items at different prices and no one will complain u either buy or leave.
I think the government have already failed in all ramifications not just from this government or just the Apc but all our leaders altogether. 60years we can’t solve power problem, no goood roads, bad policies over the years has caused nothing but misery for the people.

Their is no shortage of food but INFLATION.

This is their tactics to fight price by fighting business people that took a risk by betting against Nigeria.

You sounded very dumb tho… so if the owner isn’t guilty why can’t he sue the state government? The report said hoarding… Blike English is too hard for you? Or you think there was no investigation that would have been conducted beforehand.. Always de-marketing Nigeria because one ekute lost while supporting the evils causing unnecessary hardship in the country, I’m very sure you’re an accomplice.

You are well read and conversant with what is going on yet you didnt know opec reduced Nigeria quota, you didnt know 1.5bdp was a projection for 2024

and whats so history about 2013 that a genZ can't know Just becos you got the 2m bdp that only happened with GEJ correctly you are blabbing saliva like boerboel

Your mates Dey jamb class… you that said with your full chest that Nigeria has never produce 2m when we’re gunning for 4m shows the height of your ignorance and stupidity. FYI It didn’t only started during gej…!yaradua projected 4m when we were producing over 2.6m. U just Dey off point, no need to Dey engage a nincompoop just because I’m tryna skool you but your ignorance won’t allow you. Smh.
Instead of you to learn u Dey find fault where there’s none logically.
OPEC quota is 1.5m right? but my question is has Nigeria surpassed it or even gone close to it We produce 1.3m bpd and you’re talking like a smart idiot, I’m done arguing with a dullard that can’t reason with his brain only to open his gutter mouth to insult or abuse a constructive thinker.

So ignorant is pertinent to gen z or you just lack foresight, even tho i have my doubts about stats dole out during GEJ administration, i concur

Cos if you’re well read and conversant with what’s going on in the country u won’t be spewing out the rubbish u typed. Na only gen z or ignorant millennials won’t know this.

Typical lazy minds, you think you know, as a matter of fact opec & our oil minister projected we can meet 1.5m bdp in 2024,
Opec reduce Nigeria quota to 1.38m cos we were not meeting our 1.74bdp per day ..

I agree corruption & bunkering are limitations and we can produce more but never as Nigeria produce 2m bdp, whats unproductive is counting on erroneous stats, by the way you aint tew old to learn

It’s clear I’m engaging with an ignorant gen z, @ the bolded…. See below to clear your ignorance 👇👇👇

That a filmsy excuse for the gullible ones, Nigeria NNPc has the capacity to produce 1.5bdp at optimal level, what dangote need is 650,000 bdp,
saying 80% of our crude as being outsource for loan is not true, can you show us stats/evidence

Maybe you should do your findings… I don’t need to engage an unproductive conversations.
The 1.5m bpd you quoted doesn’t meet The OPEC quota we have capacity to produce more than 2m bpd but corruption, laundering and bunkering won’t let it come to fruition

Dangote can only source from other quarters to meet up his production demands if not they might have to shut down the refinery while it will be consuming more money to maintain which el be very counterproductive.

More than 80% of our crude oil has been used as collateral for loans… so as it is now Nigerias crude oil belongs to the banks and institutions that lent us the money.
