“From Hope to Heartbreak: How Technical Failure Ruined My Daughter’s JAMB Exam After a Painful Journey to Omoku in Port Harcourt” Yesterday was one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I have ever had since I started accompanying my children to JAMB CBT centres, as a father. My daughter and I travelled all the way to Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku, from UNIPORT, a place we had never been before. To avoid any issues, we left UNIPORT on Wednesday afternoon, spent money to lodge in a hotel, and prepared carefully for her exam scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. We arrived at the centre before 7:30 a.m., hopeful and ready. Sadly, what we met there was confusion and disorder. The candidates scheduled for 6:30 a.m. were already inside, yet their exam had not even started due to technical problems. To our shock, the 9:00 a.m. candidates, including my daughter, were also ushered in despite the unresolved issues. From that moment, we waited… and waited… and waited. Hours passed in uncertainty and discomfort. From morning until about 2:00 p.m., not a single exam was conducted. No clear communication, no solution, just growing tension and frustration everywhere. In the end, we were simply told to go home, that JAMB would reschedule another date and centre. for those of 6:30 am & 9:00 am respectively. Just like that. After all the stress, cost, and effort, my daughter did not write her exam. As the environment became increasingly chaotic and unsafe, we had no choice but to leave and find our way back to Port Harcourt. We finally got home around 4:30 p.m., grateful at least for our safety, but deeply saddened and discouraged. Till now, I have been checking the JAMB portal (https://slipsprinting.jamb.gov.ng/main-examination) repeatedly, hoping to see a new date and centre for my daughter, but nothing yet. It is truly painful and disheartening to go through so much, only to be left with uncertainty and disappointment.

My 19-year-old daughter wrote her 2025 JAMB CBT at UNIPORT. She checked her result via the official JAMB SMS (55019) and scored 171 — above UNIPORT’s cut-off (150). Her Jamb registration number: 202550579039DA But when she tried to register for Post-UTME, her result was missing on JAMB CAPS! 😡 She has proof of her score via the JAMB text message. She’s gone to the JAMB office in Port Harcourt, yet the case is unresolved. The Post-UTME registration portal for UNIPORT is about to close, and my daughter is now on the verge of losing her admission opportunity for the third time, despite having successfully written the exam and meeting the required cut-off. This situation is deeply troubling because: She wrote her CBT exam in UNIPORT, a centre under the supervision of the Vice Chancellor, who also oversees JAMB activities in Rivers State. There have been no reported issues from other candidates in the same centre. She has verifiable proof of her result via the official JAMB SMS. See the attached screenshot of her result from the Jamb text portal. This is her third time writing JAMB, and she has worked tirelessly to prepare for university admission. Now, my daughter is living with fear, confusion, and emotional trauma. She feels that all her efforts and dreams are slipping away for reasons she cannot understand or control. This is unfair! She wrote in UNIPORT — a centre directly under the VC’s supervision — and others from the same centre have no issues. We are calling on: * JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede * Minister of Education * VC, UNIPORT * The Rivers State Commissioner for Education * All relevant education stakeholders and media Stakeholders Please help restore her result so she can register before it’s too late! Please, intervene urgently so that her result can be restored on her JAMB CAPS and she can complete her Post-UTME registration before the portal closes. My daughter deserves the right to her result and the chance to further her education. Her case is not just about one student — it is about the credibility of our examination system, the trust of candidates, and the hope of countless young Nigerians who believe in the fairness of our educational institutions. I plead with all concerned to act now before it is too late. 📢 She has dreams. She has worked hard. She deserves her admission chance. #JAMB #UNIPORT #Education #Nigeria #SaveHerFuture #JAMBResult #StudentsMatter #EducationJustice PLEASE MODERATOR HELP ME MOVE IT TO FRONT-PAGE 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
