I was once looking for job in a big company like Shell, Nigerian Breweries, Total, Universities etc. But this thread taught me to start small and ever since then I have been progressing. I got my first teaching job through this thread this yr January, I worked with them till July and I resigned. I was being paid 25k in that particular school with a masters degree. Last week, I got another one that pays 50+, accommodation and feeding .You can all see that am progressing;these and many other reasons made me not to depart this thread.

I am using various sources to look for information in order to contribute my own quota to this magnificent thread.

My appreciation to the OP and others that supported him so far. OP has moved to mitacy.com and you can all check on him there.

It means nothing. ..Assume you dont have anything and keep up the hustle. If it turns out ,you are eventually given the job then fine but until then keep trying elsewhere

You should start by submitting your CV to schools around you or take a trip to Isolo n visit some of the schools there and drop ur CV.

U may also check www.mitacy.com. they r some vacancies there too covering that area

I submitted my CV to schools around ma area, i was called by d first sch bt nt satisfied wt d payment, although av started working wt dem close to a month. Just 10mins trek.
Av bn receiving calls frm others too whch av bn neglecting bt drs a particular sch i wish to work n i was called frm d sch, went dr n did well n dr payment superseeded ma present place n was told to resume.

You have always longed to work there. Now you have been given the opprtunity and pay supercedes the one you earn presently and its a walking distance..yet u still ask what you should do?

It involves answering questions on selected subjects..e.g maths ,eng, current affairs/gen paper

Guess I came in late but for the record, the interview involves written test(maths, english and subject area) and a second stage which is micro teaching..but the second stage is if you perform well in the first stage. I dont know how much their pay is.

Most private schools in lagos suck with their peanut and enslavery salaries they pay to graduates.

I am a teaching freak but the pay in most private schools isn't encouraging.
