I choose FUMMSA as my first choice and JAMB result is out, I scored 318.

I need some information about the school

1. Will there will be post UTME this year?
2. How much is the fees for Medicine and Surgery?

Alright. So let's go this way.

ABU does not publish any official cut-off marks, some of what has been written below is based on anecdotal evidence.

The two major factors ABU considers are the following:

1. Your aggregate score (UTME + PUTME)/2

2. State of Origin

So here's how it works, ABU is the most culturally diverse federal university, you literally find almost every Nigerian tribe at ABU, even the ones you have never heard of.

As such, ABU always strives to reflect federal character thing. However, the 19 Northern states, are the Catchment areas of ABU, as such in a medical school class, you typically have more representation from the Northern states.

What ABU does is to rank people from every state, if for example ABU is to take 12 people from Kwara state, they would rank everyone from Kwara from the highest scoring candidate to the least and pick out the 12 they want.

Now, for someone coming from a state that is not catchment like Osun or Cross River typically has to beat the undisclosed Merit cut-off and the ranking thing I explained earlier to be considered.

The lesser the number of people who have applied from a certain state the better.

For perspective, When I applied for BDS in 2019 using Ondo state, my UTME: 297, PUTME: 320, Aggregate: 309.

When applying from a Non-catchment state, you typically have to score as high as possible.

Someone coming from Yobe would not have had to score as high as I have done, I hope you get the gist.
