I have been a close follower of this recruitment. Thank God I have closure now. I have confirmed from more than one reliable source That this recruitment has been canceled. Unfortunately. Time to focus our energy somewhere else. |
It is really a shame that all music promotion and marketing is now focused majorly on mainstream music; meaning music that is danceable and very valid for playing in clubs which in turn means that it sells. No doubt we all want to hear songs that provoke our body to move as soon as it comes on, but like the oil situation in the country, we have managed to focus on just that category of music. Therefore leaving the vast pool talented individuals questioning their capability. Some of the are writers, some are producers, some are instrumentalists, some are your church members (which you surely enjoy listening to) and some are just music enthusiasts (believe it or not, that's not an easy thing because there's so much music out there.). So what happens then, when all the passion gets smothered by lack of acknowledgement, attention, encouragement, promotion and support. This is sad, but there is always room for improvement and new solutions to be implemented. You can start by actively showing support by sharing their music with those around you, social media and word of mouth. You can also share/broadcast posts just like this one. Please reply with thoughts, ideas or questions. For contact purposes, email us at enquiries[at]urbaneffect[dot]net enquiries@urbaneffect.net We love good music!
