This is well within reason because that is what the government is there for.. to do for the people what the people are not able to do for themselves and so far, the Nigerian Government has failed to provide the people with pretty much all of the basic needs and enabling environment for them to thrive in. By the way, the people pay the Government to do exactly this so failure of the government to deliver on the responsibilities they are paid amounts to wickedness against the people.

In the last 25 years of this democracy, Nigerians have paid going on about 100 billion dollars, if not more at this point, to have at least the following put in place by their government.
■ Electricity
■ Clean Water Supply
■ Sewage
■ Good durable Roads(roads built by the ancient Romans thousands of years ago are still very much available to this day)
■ Passenger Rail & Freight rail systems
■ Security
■ Reliable internet and mobile services
■ Waste Management
■ Strong healthcare system
■sturdy educational & training System
■a Welfare/Social system...

And 25 years later, Nigerians still have nothing of what is on that list above available to them.

It's really sad. However, We Must Know That POWER Lies in The Hands of The People. Why Do Nigerians Keep Voting Their Oppressors During Elections When Elections Can Be Cancelled in The Country Until We Solve Our Constitutional Problems?

Once people have these things, they will mostly sort out the issue of hunger for themselves. The problem of hunger right now is that there is no enabling environment for farmers to tackle it for themselves that is the major issue. The government keeps insisting it has loans and fertilizer available but it ignores the fact that many farmers are today in IDP camps majorly because of insecurity in the nation which continues to grow by the day.
