I don't know where you witness Murtala regime but I witnessed Yaradua as a graduate. Tell me the economic policy of Yardua that transformed Nigeria.

He implemented policies that stabilize the naira and curb inflation.
He focus on diversification of the economy and shift focus on non oil sectors like manufacturing,agriculture.
He improved foreign reserve through some prudent fiscal policies.
He encourage collaboration with the private sector through public-private partnership program.
These policies didn't take long to have positive effect on masses and zero need to preach patience or people to make needless sacrifices.

Good market is not hard that hard to sell. If Tinubu's policy are good enough, large section of the population will be singing his praise already. If everything is expensive and farming is not easy and you cannot make effort to do anything yourself, then buy the expensive product like that and don't complain! Is it a must to apply fertiliser before farming? Our lands are naturally fertile and you can farm the same land 3years running before it will need fertiliser. Awesome, you want to everyone to go into farming on a subsistence scale right? How do you intend to feed yourself and family on a subsistence scale for a whole calender year?
The bottomline is farming is expensive no matter how you try to distort the fact and subsistence/backyard farming can't get us out of this quagmire, you can't farm all you eat on a subsistence scale,to do these you need a large expanse of land and you can't rely on crude and organic fertilizers alone, you need to hire manual labour or get mechanize farming equipment and these things don't come cheap.I am a part time farmer (livestock farming) and I know quite some crop farmers so I know what it cost to run a farm.
