If you don't know that was one of the ways pruning down the numbers of participants @ over 800k applicants jostling for 3200slots one would expect the firm handling it to implore all tactics to reduce the number of applicants while also did you think they shifted the venue to state of origin despite candidates choosing their state of residence as exam centre? it's all part of the ways to reduce applicants that doesn't mean that the process wasn't transparent, Moreover there was a way to check if one was shortlisted regardless if such person got an email or not.
The sad reality is that getting jobs in Nigeria esp govt is survival of the fittest and you can't really blame people handling the exercise when they use unorthodox way to reduce applicants.

It's being outsourced...The CG said this...the CG said that. He might as well step down immediately because so many persons got late mail/text invites cos that alone has thrown the credibility of the whole process in the mud. In as much as I like the fact that you want to be positive, I just want you to know that this is Nigeria and no whatever you think or know of the CG doesn't play a role in this recruitment process

The recruitment has being outsourced to a private consulting firm this is to make the process as transparent and independent of any interference as possible, what most of you here don't know is that in your various test centres you guys where under the watchful eyes of a CCTV cam all the feeds where relayed to a central situation room(if you have access to any staff of those centres you did your test you
can go and ask them).
I'm not here to hype the CG but those that are working close to him (try and ask any senior custom officer they will tell you the kind of person he is, that's why they don't like him). He even had an altercation with the Minister of finance which he is supposed to be answerable to, according to an insider he said if the presidency interferes he will resign ( a civilian staff in Custom HQ said it).
The process might not be 100% perfect but even if anybody wants to help you, you must participate in the process and at least perform above average to stand any chance for a little push. As far as this 3200 slot is considered save this post for reference purposes just like I said during registration last year this particular exercise will be the most transparent, if you don't make it, you yourself will know that people who succeeded performed better.

The truth is that it doesn't take them anything to release the list today. The exam was cbt and it makes it even easier. There's no better explanation to this. The longer it takes, the more u come to the realisation that their taking their time to do their "background work"

I honestly don't know. This is the first time the job is advertised to the public. The politicians go to the extent of even fighting themselves because of the slots. I hope that wateva they do, they consider the poor masses like u and I

I have a friend who's an aide to a senator in Edo state and she said they haven't compiled their list. Hopefully before the end of the month. If it's true, we shouldn't expect anything to happen this month

Practical lasting gifts are memorable. Fashion items can suffice, if she is a fashion person. I am not, I only buy when the need arises and 90% are work clothes/shoes.

Anyway, depends on your budget and the lady in question. Wristwatches, perfumes, clothes, phones, knacks, flowers, dinner date, boat cruise..etc.

Most times, it's very easy to shortlist for the next stage especially if the examination was a cbt. But this is Nigeria where the only thing that will be delaying them is compilation of "senators list, ministers list" especially since most of them have not even resumed fully this year. So I personally think the next stage is gonna take a little while.

That's why I'm still laughing at those who think the process is going to be be transparent. They made the job advert public doesn't mean the majority of the public are going to benefit

Which again isn't the best call. Transparency calls for the candidates to see their performance in the test, and then know whether or not they meet the cut off when the time comes.
