Reggae star, Ortis Wiliki who just marked 30 years in the music industry made a shocking revelation recently.
Unveiling the secret of his 20-year marriage to popular actress and singer, Becky, he told Punch that, “I married my kid sister – my mother’s last born. We are as close siblings can be. That is why we have stayed together for this long. ”

He further revealed that he was originally from Ethiopia not Nigeria, “I am actually from Ethiopia. That is where my grandfather comes from. I don’t know why people can’t believe me. I am a full-fledged Nigerian, no doubt. I was born and raised here, but my ancestral roots remain in Ethiopia. I come from Adowa, a province in the Northern part of Ethiopia. My family naturalised as Nigerians in Warri. My father is Itsekiri, while my mother is partly Edo and Ondo. That is why I tell people that I have a complex origin. My real name is Rassam Wiliki. It was my grandfather’s name, too.”

On his foray into music, he said “At the age of eight, I was already an active member of the church choir. Before my father died at the age of 49, he had reached out to many people through evangelism. I wanted to do the same thing. So I made up my mind that I was going to reach out to people through music. I decided I would become a gospel musician. That is why everything I have done is inspired by the Holy Bible.”

What Happened?

A popular Nollywood actor, Ernest Asuzu was on Sunday, May 24, sighted at Shoprite in Surulere area of Lagos begging for money.
Asuzu who suffered stroke sometimes ago, wore a Manchester United jersey, blue jean trouser and a bathroom slippers begging for money.
According to a report, the actor, disclosed that the president of Actors Guild, Ibinabo Fiberesima alongside other actors have been briefed on his predicament but have continued to turned deaf ears to his appeal for assistance.
Asuzu said he decided to beg for alms in order to survive the hardship he is currently facing.

He says...

''I was in LASUTH for two months, three days and for that long, nobody from Nollywood, not even Ibinabo visited me. And she heard that I was admitted there. My friends told her that I was down with stroke and she pretended as if she didn't hear. It's not fair, I'm a human being too.''
''I am limping right now because I have a stroke. I'm limping because my people don't care. I'm limping because the industry is already messed up. I don't know what Ibinabo is doing. Ibinabo is just gallivanting. She is having fun and that is not the reason we put her there. She should go out there and fight for our people.''

The Imo-born actor began his acting career in the late 90s film, ''Another Campus Quen''. Ernest used to be Nollywood bad boy before Jim Iyke came on the scene. Before his disappearance from the movie world, he was entangled in series of controversies that led to rumours of insanity.
