Everyone stuck a straw in you to suck on you when you were liquid. No, scrap that! You let everyone stick a straw in you to suck on you when you were liquid. Now you are dry they've left you to wither. They'll be back when you are liquid of course, but till then you're just dry useless to them.

When you get on a plane the air steward would tell you to put your own mask on first before helping others with theirs. Thankfully for you, you are experiencing learning.

Meanwhile, drop your pride and perhaps go live with your parents awhile till you can stand on your feet. And if you ever do get to stand on your feet again put your own mask on before you let others suck you dry.
My parents are late
CareerWhat Should I Do In This My Situation by Uzomi007(op): 12:07pm On Jun 05, 2023
In the year 2015, I acquired a university Diploma in computer science at one of the state university.

Fast forward to 2017, I got a job of 10k monthly and ever since then everyone in the family depends on my monthly salary to survive.

I was unable to save because before the monthly payment drops, expenses is already waiting.

I was unable to quit the job because that is where my family rely on and not until 2020 when the pandemic hit and it affects my work.

Ever since then I couldn't find a better job or even go back to school as I can't even get someone from my brother, sister, uncle or aunty to help me.
I keep on struggling to eat daily with depts on my neck.

Last month, I want to start a small buying and selling business but couldn't get anyone from my family to assist me with 10k. So I find my way out to Abuja and stay with a married friend of mine who lives in a single room apartment because my Landlord is also on my neck due to my expired rent although I have been served a quit Notice for the past 5 months.

Right now, my friend wants me to get my own apartment because his wife is not comfortable, and the worst part is i don't even have money to rent a room back home talk more of getting a room in Abuja where everything is expensive.

I can't find a job, most of the ones I see requires transport fare and my monthly payment can't even covers it.

Finally, i don't know what to do as I can't find a job, I don't have money to start a business, no place to even rest my head. I wanted to learn video editing but no money to buy laptop. My brothers and sisters are all claiming not to have any money to assist me.

I currently stay at Lugbe part of Abuja.

CrimeSix-month-old Baby Boy Dies As Mother Allegedly Gave Him Tramado (video) by Uzomi007(op): 11:46am On Jan 24, 2023
A six-month-old baby boy died in his sleep after his young mother allegedly gave him an overdose of medication in order to go clubbing.

The incident happened at Quarter Nine in Likomba, a neighbourhood in Tiko on Monday, January 23, 2023.

According to local sources, the mother wanted to go clubbing so she allegedly gave the baby drugs said to be Tramadol to make him sleep for hours and then locked him up in the room.

The mother of the young woman said this wasn't the first time that she drugged the child and left him unattended.

"The first time the mother caught her drugging the child, she interrogated her but she told her they were mere pills," a source said.

"This lady you see here committed an abomination last night in Likomba, Tiko. Despite having a newborn baby of few months old in hand, she wanted to go clubbing with friends," a Cameroonian reporter wrote.

"The innocent child was the only thing standing in her way as she couldn’t take him to the club. So what did this girl do? She decided to give him tra@madol so he can fall deep asleep. This way she can go party with her friends

"She gave her the tr@madol and locked the baby inside the house. She returned home this morning only to find out the baby di*d as a result of the hard drugs she gave him

"Likomba inhabitants descended on her and got her well be@ten. Forces of law and order intervened and as of now, the girl is in detention. The baby has been buried. May the soul of the innocent baby rest in peace."

PoliticsOhinoyi Of Ebiraland Replies Kogi Govt, Describes Query As Unfortunate by Uzomi007(op): 10:52am On Jan 12, 2023
Dr. Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, has responded to the Kogi State Government's query, describing the contents of the query as unfortunate and unfair.

Remember that the government had questioned the state's supreme ruler about his absence from President Muhammadu Buhari's reception for project commissioning in Okene Local Government Area.

Responding in a three paged letter, the Ohinoyi noted that he was informed barely hours to the President’s visit, and also instructed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abdulsalam Deedat to stay back in his palace for the President’s courtesy visit to him.

READ FULL RESPONSE:

The Honourable Commissioner,

Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,

Lokoja.

RE: LETTER OF QUERY

I am specifcally responding to your letter of Query with reference MLCA/CH1/30/V1/8 dated 5th January, 2023, which I received today Friday 6th of January 2023 as follows:

1. There was no official letter informing me about the visit of His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, Commander In-Chief of Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria regarding his visit on the 29th of December, 2022, to commission legacy projects executed by His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.

2. It was only on the night of 28th of December, 2022, you visited me at about 9:30pm and informed me that Mr. President would be coming to Okene the following day to commission some projects, and that I should stay back in my Palace while the President will be coming to pay me a Courtesy visit upon his arrival.

3. On the 29t of December, 2022 at about 8:15am, I received an unofficial copy of the visit programme of Mr. President and I noted that Mr. President was meant to commission the Ohinoyi’s Palace at 10:10am. This observation implied that Mr. President was to commission another Palace other than my current Palace that I have been occupying since I was coronated in. 1997.

4. It is worthy to note that as the Paramount Ruler of Ebiraland, I have not been officially informed of the existence of any new Palace. I therefore prepared in compliance to your instruction to receive Mr. President as it is customary in our Traditional Institution and I quickly put together a memorium to present to him to appreciate his 2nd visit to Okene since 1985, when he was received by HRH the Late Ohinoyi of Ebira Alh. Sanni Omolori. I made an enlarged photocopy of the photograph of the visit close to the chair which I provided during the visit as attached.

5. I had just concluded preparations to receive Mr. President when I heard an earth moving bomb blast at the rear entrance to my Palace close to the new Mosque across the street at 9:00am. While I was in the Palace ensuring that the casualties of the unfortunate incident were being attended to, I was informed that Mr. President had concluded his programme and departed to Lokoja. I also discovered that the main wall of the entrance to my Palace had been breached and all entrances to the Palace had been barricaded to make access to and fro impossible. I have been kept in the dark from the reception arrangements and necessary entertainment to welcome Mr. President on his 2nd visit to Okene, and from extolling the pleasure of my dear people to receive him.

6. l am not and have no intention to “exhibit deliberate attitude and actions regarded as bringing Kogi State and Ebiraland in particular to grave disrepute and regarded therefore as quite unbecoming of a revered Royal Father of my status”. All allegations referred to in your letter, especially Paragraphs 3 and 4 are very unfortunate and I regard the same unfair to my ripe experience and age coupled to my candid, Royal dignity, accepted here in the world internationally.

7. It is worth mentioning to enforce gratitude to His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, who I have not seen for sometimes now, to have informed Mr. President that I was unavoidably absent due to my ill health at his grand reception, while on the other hand a person unknown to me represented me and read out a welcome speech to Mr. President on my behalf, which was not sanctioned by me.

8. Finally, inspite of the aforementioned points, it is noteworthy that since the unfortunate incident on the 29th of December, 2022, this Letter of Query is the first communication, written or otherwise from any official of the State to me, without any commiserations or enquiries about the unfortunate bomb blast that led to the intended disruption of Mr. President’s programme, loss of lives of innocent Ebira people, massive damages on my Palace and rancour within my domain.

9. Nevertheless, I will continue to reign over the good people of Ebira land with good conscience and conviction, as I have done throughout my reign.

Ma’asalam.
HRM. OHINOYI DR. ADO IBRAHIM CON,
ATTA EBIRA

CrimeUK Court Jails Nigerian Over Attempted Sexual Affair With Teenager by Uzomi007(op): 10:30am On Jan 12, 2023
Osakpolor Jimoh, 37, of Nigeria, was found guilty and sentenced to three years and nine months in prison by a UK court for an attempted sexual encounter with a 13-year-old girl.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Jimoh was sentenced at the Leeds Crown Court in the United Kingdom.

His sentencing had come after he was said to have pleaded guilty to five counts, including attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming, attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity, and attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act.

The convicted Nigerian was said to have stumbled on the supposed teenager’s Facebook profile in May last year and later asked her for a “secret relationship.”

Unknown to him, the supposed teenager’s profile was that of undercover detectives, who specialise in exposing paedophiles.

In his conversation with the profile, Jimoh had claimed he was 19, and asked the supposed teenager questions bordering on her sexual experience.

He was also said to have sent the “teenager” explicit clips of himself and became “aggressive” when she refused to do the same.

The convict, who is based in Edinburgh, Scotland, was said to have arranged to meet physically with the supposed teenager in Leeds.

He also reportedly booked a two-night stay in a hotel for himself and the “teenager.”

On October 24, 2022, he was arrested by security operatives at the Leeds rail station on his way to meet the supposed teenager ahead of her purported 14th birthday.

It is understood that condoms and lollipops were found in his pockets when he was arrested.

In a now-viral video, Jimoh was seen being interrogated by security operatives at the train station before he was whisked away.

In his ruling, Mark McKone, said: “You (Jimoh) became aggressive if you did not get your way. The communication continued for five and a half months, you booked a cheap hotel and were armed with condoms.”
