Many users have been reporting crackling noise ever since the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus came out. A colleague also noticed the same bug with two different phones. At first, everybody believed it was a hardware issue because not all iPhones were affected. But Apple released the first beta version of iOS 11.1 last week and it fixed the issue with a simple software update. Apple expedited the bug fix and shipped a minor 11.0.2 bug fix update so that users don’t have to wait for iOS 11.1. The iPhone 8 Plus’s reign as “the best smartphone camera” was a mighty short one. DxOMark, the testing outfit many look to for fair evaluations of cameras from DSLRs to phones, gave Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 a 94, tying the iPhone and in some ways exceeding it. While its video is merely great and its background-blur algorithms unreliable, the Samsung gained on its competition with its outstanding detail and color in everyday settings and super-fast autofocus. Its zoom also outperformed the iPhone’s. Read more at: http://infodrifts.com/galaxy-note-8-ties-iphone-8-plus-camera-tests |

Perhaps, that is one of the lessons President Muhammadu Buhari is coming to terms with as President and Commander-in-Chief. Apart from his frontal attack on corruption, virtually every other campaign promise has either been repudiated or has, unfortunately, not matured; and patience is running thin. But the question persists, even after 57years of independence: How do you make Nigerians happy? For a people whose desires are so basic and modest, it should not take so much to make Nigerians happy. But they are not. Buffeted by a cocktail of afflictions ranging from failed infrastructure, to illiteracy, communal clashes and tribalism, corruption, nepotism, indiscipline and ritual killings, just to mention a few, Nigerians have become more impoverished than they were at independence, for, as you look deep into the eyes of the average Nigerian, what you see is bewilderment. HMD Global has now launched a 3G variant of the Nokia 3310. Finally, the diminutive little feature phone will be able to access faster mobile data speeds and give some competition to the JioPhone.
