The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Professor Francis Chukwuemeka Eze has carefully perfected his plans to extort about three hundred million naira (=N=300,000,000) from 24,000 students of the institution. In some messages which he has wittingly published through some online newspaper, each student of FUTO is to pay a "DESTRUCTION/DAMAGE FEE" of =N=12,500 before allowed entry into the school premises on May 8. 2017. Recall a student protest took place in February 2017 because of arbitrary increase in school fees coupled with extortion for WIFI services which was never provided for the students.

A cursory look at the campus reveals that destruction done were minimal and should not cost more than =N=32,000,000 to repair all the windows and glasses damaged. The question is, "Why has Professor Francis Eze planned such a massive loot of =N=300M from his students when =N=32M can fix the items damaged?" An ideal fine should be in the range of =N=1,000 to =N=2,000 per student and not =N=12,500 as currently charged by this Professor .

By popular demand, Prof Francis Eze should reduce the fine to =N=2,000 otherwise he will face a stiffer opposition by both existing students, alumni, parents and the entire Nigerian community.
