The first name on this list is someone you should only engage as a last resort. Sure, he's quite knowledgeable in car imports and sales. But he's also a very unprofessional and rude fellow. He tends to think he's smarter than everybody else, and I guarantee that if he sees a way to make more money off you unsuspectingly, he definitely will grab that opportunity. All based on my personal interaction with him.

When I was approached by a couple of contacts looking to import vehicles and who mentioned him one way or the other, I made sure to steer them in other directions. Would that hurt his business? Definitely not, but I had peace of mind that I didn't let my contacts deal with his lack of professionalism.

Hi guys; my first time on this section and I’ve learnt a lot. Please just got a Volvo XC90 2005 and I need a good rewire since Volvos have sensors everywhere and I have some issues to clear; heard software can cause some issues,

Reduced engine performance
Engine system service required
Anti-Skid service required

The first two just popped up today on a trip. Also who has a good AC man that knows about Volvo. Need to sort these out and enjoy my car even more.

You may be right but like he stated, he just bought the car and any car that uses our fuel for the first time has check engine light comes up especially if you are using a car that requires premium fuel. Buying a Volvo and go and stand in a noisy, dirty place because you have the parts there does not mean that there are experts there, the guy I recommended worked with Doyin motors and so will be in a better position to fix his car.

Let's not jump to conclusions, this scattershot approach to diagnosing or repairing vehicles is very antiquated. There's a myriad of possible causes of the reduced engine performance message.

The correct next step would be for the vehicle to be scanned with an adequate scan tool. Not those generic tools, it needs to be a professional tool. It's the codes from that scan that would point to the issue causing the engine performance message.

OP, if you're in Lagos, go to Ladipo, ask for Alhaji Amusa Street in Daleko. That's the Volvo headquarters in Lagos. The scanning+possible parts would be resolved there.

Come to Airforce mechanic yard in ile zik, ikeja and you will meet the Volvo guy there. As for your reduced engine performance, the car is reacting to the unleaded regular fuel that you are using for a car that requires premium fuel only.

I don't think someone coming from that far place to your location should be treated that way. He calls and negotiate with you, why ask your brother to take the car to him? It's glaring what happened because I am a car dealer as well. Don't treat people that way. You need to accept your wrong doing and formally apologize to him.

So I shouldn't worry about the fact that I can't find the vessel or voyage number under sallaumlines,so it is normal? That vehicle has no keys at first ,so he paid the locksmith to come and fix it at the port. Which my agent told me that it has been done

This car of mine has been on queue since 21st September at sallaum too, i think you should relax, these things usually happen every year ending. The car could arrive naija and take 3 weeks to offload even.

Since you can track your car, pls relax and stop heaping blames on your shipper, hes not sallaum or Grimaldi. Importation is not for the fickle minded, if you don't have the stomach For it, next time quietly walk into any car stand and pick a ride and go home in peace.

Hopefully but to me I'm thinking something might be wrong with mine or my agent is not telling me the truth, he said he shipped the car through sallaumlines, when I check the vehicle status using its VIN on their website,it shows shipment has been recieved but hasn't been shipped out, secondly when I Google the vessel, it doesn't show its sallaumlines vessel, it will show grimaldi. I wrote sallaumlines via email asking for few information to know what is actually going on, they told me the vessel is not theirs and if I need any further information, I should contact my agent not them. On the other hand, my agent is telling me that the estimated time of arrival is 9th of August, car that I can't even track. How possible is that? I'm just confused
