I would advice Java then move your way to JavaFX and Android app development.
With Java and JavaFX you can build software for any organisation.
With JavaME and Android app development you can build mobile apps for java/symbian phones, blackberry 5/6 and android phones.
Later you can learn cross platform development and build for other platforms like iOS and windows and blackberry 10.
