SoftSport:
The stats are indeed worrisome, if they are accurate. It begs the question: why would so many Igbos feel the need to leave their homeland and settle in other regions? While there's certainly freedom of movement, the concerns are deeper.
Are their own regions becoming so inhospitable that they have no choice but to leave?
Is the ongoing issue with IPOB-related violence still plaguing the Southeast, making it unsafe or unstable for its people?
Is there a climate of hostility or distrust when it comes to doing business among Igbos themselves?
These are just a few of the troubling questions that arise.
The reasons for such a mass migration go beyond mere economic opportunity.
Something seems off when people are choosing to leave their ancestral lands in such large numbers. Keep studying it |

I hope their stupidity will not creep into Abuja 30 years from today, they will start crying that Igbo have bought up all the lands in ado ekiti and in zamfara. Now there is space there, they will be here running their mouths like tap. |

Localemperor: It's has always been a general knowledge that Suya can from Shagamu... God bless omo lera Yes, from shagamu. Northerners that came to south for the first time ate suya and screamed "kai"! They went back and started doing the pirated copy of suya and kilisi in the North, now they are claiming those two yoruba delicacies as a northern achievement. |

Localemperor: Yurobas were to first to start cooking Jollof rice and fried rice, we are so happy for them. If not for them Nigerians won't be arguing Jollof rice war with Ghana and Senegal... I remember my uncle telling me that the yorubas invented yam porridge. If not for them, people will still be eating yams with the back peelings together. |

Wawelexy: You remember? Were you alive then? I used to think the Hausas own tuwo shinkafa.... They only learnt it from the yorubas, they met the traditional inhabitants of Ile Ife cooking Tuwo Shinkafa, and then they learnt it and popularised it in the North. |
