Politics / Re: Securing 200 Million Citizens Unrealistic-Nigeria' Army by vanbonattel: 9:21pm On Sep 24
It's actually very realistic Lagbaja, nothing for you (according to my friend, the masked one) grin

See, you're all going about securing Nigeria the wrong way. By using all your muscle to pound down on innocent unarmed civilians in the south, and going soft in the North, even opening Nigeria borders to countries where terrorists come in freely.

The number of army people parading southern population is so high, army is used to settle land matters in the south, they are even used to beat up errant husbands and girlfriends by their different partners, the army is used to mount checkpoints where boys scouts can even maintain security, they are frequently used to control traffic in the south, in fact, if you pay a little more than what they pay servant girls, soldiers will be washing your plates and scrubbing your floors. They are that useless down south.

Moral of the story: Stop using the army to fight civil masters.

It's not the 1960's anymore, and we are not going back to the old 4 regions.

You guys need to focus on getting your states to be productive, instead of fighting over how to share oil money with the hausas.

Same goes for the hausas.

Making my states productive when the FG tweaks a simple monetary policy and my whole state investment turns to dust ? cheesy

When the army can use checkpoints and strangulate my regions progress because of the civil war policies?

When the national army and police are totally invisible when crimes occur?

We should rather hold the federal government accountable, they are the spoilers from top to bottom.

Of what benefit is regional government to Nigerians? I wasn't born yet when the last one happened.

What are the advantages and disadvantages? We are hear to learn

Regions will get to manage their resources, control their internal security and bear their losses squarely.

Oga na you do yourself, you where power drunk at some point. We that grew up in the east understand the politics of Nigeria and that's why most ofbus hustled our way to the top without waiting for the govt assistance. I told you guys at the initial stage 9f this struggle to focus on our own leaders( the governors, sentators n reps from southeast) those are our problems, they where the people ridiculling the SE but you where so carried away by your popularity.

What do you expect?

It is Nnamdi Kanu vs the state.

The state has laws, and those laws are supposed to be administered by the state. There should be no different laws for each person.

The judiciary has become an appendage of rhe executive arm of government. The judiciary in Nigeria has is only going to obey the orders of rhe executives, it has no mind if its own anymore.

And so?

Didn't you all know it will be that way?

Did 2023 presidential elections pass integrity tests?

What did you do to correct the anomalies noticed?

All the next elections will not pass integrity tests, robbers never gets tired of stealing till the owners of the valuables man up and stop the criminals.

We are still supporting our brothers because they are the ones currently stealing, until they steal our house and lives, then our eyes will clear.

Stop making noise here abeg.

Please, let's stop responding to these outsiders who knows nothing about Igboland. Anyone who says Ezechima was a Benin Prince should tell us another person with a 'Chi' in their name in Benin empire.

Outsiders shouldn't describe what they don't know.

Sir,
I will not argue about this subject.
I have done my fact check in the ancient town of Onitsha way back 1997.
As part of this research I paid a visit to the palace of the then Obi of Onitsha.
I will advise you to also do your fact check and visit the Onitsha archive's in the Palace of the Obi of Onitsha.
About Onitsha being an Island, in case you don't know.
We have the Onitsha water-side and the Onitsha Inland. ( MBA road, Emmanuel Church Road, Awka road, Ugwunobamkpa. just to mention a few.)

Omagba and Nkpor are not in Onitsha.

Vanbottel, you're super pained. Yorubas ll leave Nigeria when they feel like. It's good if our unity work better. All ya negative thoughts about Yorubas should be erased from your brain.🧠

Till you get ready to leave, please appreciate the hands that feed you. Just thank the other Nigerians where your glory comes from. We love you and regard you as part of us, but stop thinking you are better than anyone or that your success is self made. Thank you.

So that single individual is the one to decide for over 5million Ikwerre people where they migrated from.
The Ikwerre Nation is nationally known as a distinct nation, it is an insult to call an Ikwerre Man Igbo.

So says an outsider trying to force an ikwerre man who told you he's Igbo to renounce his ancestry.

And yet when you tell them to break away on their own and form another country to be great in their own country, they will fight you grin

These hogwash you read up there are mere fallacies conjoured to assure themselves that they have tried, but Niger Delta oil money paid for everything you saw up there.

Remove Apapa ports and the business around it and Lagos will become another Ilorin. That's why they fight tooth and nail to keep Apapa as the only functional port.

If the region is economically viable in any way, they would have broken away in 1995 after MKO died in mysterious circumstances, but they fought on, used every crooked ways to beat, kill, lie and malign the military till they were helped to become president in 1999, and then they calmed down because they have become connected to the oil feeding bottle once again.

Please stop boasting and beating your hairless chests, if oil and gas from other parts of Nigeria cease to benefit Lagos, the city will run into serious debts in less than 6 months.
