Romance / For Couples And Those About To Get Married by vascable: 10:43am On Jan 14, 2016
FOR OUR MEN:

Carry your wife to the bed when she sleeps off in the sitting room, make her feel like a baby at times. The truth is, every woman wants to be treated like a 2yrs old girl at times, that’s why women behave childish or silly at times.

You may have an argument with your wife and the next thing is that you will see her putting her bags outside the house, it doesn’t mean she is asking for a divorce, she is just being childish, she simply wants you to hold her, look her in the eyes and say “I am sorry for the argument”.

That’s women for you. Every brother needs to study in the university of women before getting married, read books about them, learn what the Bible says about them and you will hardly have a problem with them.
Though there may still be some challenges, because you’re both from different background and your imperfections are bound to stand.

So, read books about marriage, an ideal home, child upbringing, importance of marriage and the likes. Don’t just jump into marriage with an empty head about matrimony, you will have problems.

How many men can tolerate their wives nagging let alone shouting? It’s said that, you should be quiet when your spouse is angry, when one person is fire, the other person should be water.

Brothers, when your wife steps on your feet intentionally or mistakenly, don’t let your eyes turn red, just smile at her, if she did it intentionally, she is just playing with you, if she did it mistakenly, its not her fault. So why shout at her over every small mistake?
As a man learn to ignore some things, don’t be petty. Some men are feminist; Do “hide and seek” with your wife, sing poems for your wife in the garden or inside the house, even if she is teasing you.

Assist her in the house chores, pound yam, fetch water, don’t make her look like your maid. Bathe together, wake her up for prayers, swim with her if it’s available, cook together, teach her how to cook if she doesn’t know how to cook. Cooking is not the ticket to Paradise. It’s not only a feminine duty.

Use blind folds to cover her eyes and tickle her, scare her at times, call her from work/ school, text her, write “I love you” in a small note and put it under her pillow or in her purse or in her bathroom or in her cosmetics box or inside her cupboard. Kiss her always, cuddle her, pamper her and play with her hair. Always tell her, she’s beautiful and that you’re happy to have her as your partner.

All these are part of being romantic…When a woman tells you that you are not romantic. It means you are not doing all these things, its not the romance in the bedroom she is talking about. That’s why, you brothers have to study “women’s language” it’s a 10 year course.

FOR LADIES:

It is part of your duty to be romantic too. Your shyness shouldn’t get to your marital life and that doesn’t mean you should be shy to express your love to your husband.

Send sweet text messages to your husband at work, sometimes even if you are in the room discussing with your husband, still be chatting with him on social media (Facebook, Whatsapp, Viber, Imo, bbm etc) even though he is right in front of you, it’s fun and romantic! Discuss how lovely he is on your facebook timeline, this will trip him a lot.
Buy flowers for him. When eating, give him the biggest meat. At times, bake cake for him to surprise him. Ladies, use your soft voice to sing for him, be creative, a poem like

(twinkle, twinkle lovely spouse, how I wonder what you are, up above my world so high, like a diamond in my heart).

Sing poems for him, no shyness is allowed. Don’t just be welcoming your husband with an angry face because there is no money in the house, God is our provider. Don’t welcome your husband with your body smelling maggi, don’t only play with your husband when he receives his salary.

Welcome him with a warm hug always, and when he is going to work, pray to God to keep him safe and for him to be successful. Support him, advise him, wipe his tears, be grateful to him, it’s not easy to be a man, when you see his faith waxing cold, encourage him, don’t threaten him that you will seek for divorce, don’t compare him with other men, buy him gifts, wash his clothes, sing for him, praise him in a way that he wouldn’t think of an alternative, be the best cook, wash his car if u have the time, dress him up, pamper him when he is sick.
Wake him with a peck and don’t complain about his snoring habit.
Let kiss be the messenger between you. Read books on intimacy, don’t learn it from what you see in movies.

Most of what you see there are not real. Call your husband pet names. Though you can also call him by his name even if he is 30yrs older than you, as far as he is comfortable with it.
Remember that, God said, men are the protectors and maintainers of women. So respect him and honor him even if he is younger than you. Marriage isn’t a bed of roses but a bed of sacrifice. It’s said that, there is nothing better for two people who love each other than marriage.
To fall in love is a disease and its cure is to marry the person one is in love with. Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion and the romance and you find out you still care for that person.
Finally, married men, divide your nights into 3: one for yourself (sleeping), one for your wife and one for your Lord.. That’s the best night one can ever have.

Cherish the HEART that loves you than the HEART you love because the HEART you love loves another.
Pals, any objection?

Agriculture / How To Establish A Piggery Farm Business by vascable: 4:31pm On Jan 13, 2016
When it comes to Entrepreneurship Agriculture is and have been my favorite am currently into Poultry and will soon go into Piggery. so here are steps to follow if you want to do same.

Establishing a piggery business is quite challenging, but piggery iѕ аnоthеr lucrative business in Nigeria, because pigs reproduce in large number (12-14) and it could be twice a year and they grow very fast. In spite of how profitable piggery is, mаnу Nigerian ѕtill ignore it. A Pig gоеѕ fоr аѕ high аѕ N25,000 depending оn the weight. It means if you have up to 150 mature pigs in a year, уоu will bе making N3,750,000 frоm thе sales yearly.

How to Rear Pigs

Secure a cheap farm land in the rural area depending on the scale you want to produce (large or small) – Preferably 3-4 acres is required, ѕо thаt уоur pig саn graze in thе open field аnd return tо thе реn afterwards. It should be a pasture land.

Contruct standard pеnѕ —the pens should be spacious, so as tо kеер thе pigs healthy аnd free frоm diseases аnd contamination.

Proper drainage iѕ required in the pen, to avoid stagnant water which could be harmful to the pigs.
Also tо avoid the pigs gеtting too dirty, уоu nееd tо build a water pool whеrе thеу саn play, but drain the water often аnd refilling frequently аѕ роѕѕiblе will keep the pigs clean.
Shelter ѕhоuld bе build fоr them if they are outside.

Purchase piglets – purchase healthy piglets that have been properly dewormed and vaccinated from reliable source, if possible get health history of their parents. It is advisable you look out for piglets with bright eyes, glossy coat, piglets that are alert, less aggressive piglets and the piglets should not show sign of lameness. This will assist you in getting good return on investment.

Veterinary Doctor – a vet doctor is required fоr regular check uр, vaccination аnd feeding as well as nutrition advice. Pigs normally eats whаt human bеing eat аnd dоеs nоt present muсh troubles in terms of feeding.

Staffing – you need a farm manager and people who would be assisting in the feeding, cleaning thе pigs аnd thе pens, and also for proper running of the farm, because you can’t do it alone.

Feeding — Pigs eat a lot and thеу nееd balanced diet ѕuсh аѕ feeds high in fibre, energy, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins аnd minerals tо grow properly. They also need regular clean fresh drinking water. Aѕ wеll аѕ tipping thе trough tо make a wallow, pigs will аlѕо stand in thе water trough аnd wash thеir faces in it, there is nееd tо regularly cleaned оut аnd refilled.

Farm Sanitation – if you want your pigs to be free from diseases, then you must take farm sanitation very serious and it should be carried out daily.

From 5 months and above, pigs will have gotten to perfect market weight, they could be sold or slaughtered for meat and sold in the open market.

If they are properly cared for, you will definitely have huge profit.

Business / 5 Major Problems We Entrepreneur's Face by vascable: 8:27am On Jan 13, 2016

The world of work has witnessed over the years, a radical shift in the workplace that has birthed some amazing stories; stories that inspire one’s courage and desire for something larger than life. Among these stories is that of Olujimi Tewe, the Human Resource Consultant and Founder of Inspiro Consulting .That story validated a lot of things for me, in fact many people have made that much anticipated leap after encountering his story. But I want to call your attention to one rarely considered area of entrepreneurship; that is why I am writing this piece for you to get well informed. For a few years, I belonged to the school of thought that said “you can only be rich if you’re an entrepreneur”. How wrong I was, as I came to discover later that being in the seat of entrepreneurship doesn’t hand you the magical wand of prosperity.

First, let’s consider the experience of Louis, a creative artist. Louis grew up in a middle class family and learnt practical living as a boy. By the time he was six years old, he was already destroying his mother’s tablemats in the name of cutting cardboards. Soon, he started to do still life drawing and abstract arts which got the interest and attention of his father’s friends who came visiting. Some bought his artworks to encourage him to keep at it. By the time Louis gained admission into the higher institution, it was to study fine arts. Louis became so good at doing arts that he won several awards in school and was widely known across campus. On one occasion when they had a rag day, Louis was mistaken for a mad man. His interest in painting and pencil works got him to start an art studio, a business funded by his father who was proud to see his first son making waves with his talents and interest. Within three years, Louis had gained recognition from the National body and department of arts in leading institutions but his business did not take the same plunge. Three years after he set up the studio, it was no longer in existence. He had veered into different genres of art including stage drama, movies, lightening and set design. None seemed to present him with any fortune. Eventually, all the prospect and talent Louis had amounted to nothing. Now, with a wife and a set of twins, pressure keeps mounting for him to get a “proper” job. What exactly went wrong with Louis and when did it go wrong? What could he have done differently? What mistakes of his can you avoid? This craze for “being my own boss” topples those who wander into the jungle of entrepreneurship and frustrates them so much they lose a lot of money, time and credibility not because they lack talent or big dreams but because they have not learnt to handle the crucial problems with being an entrepreneur among other things.

Now let us see the problems with being an entrepreneur. These are really problems that can easily become crisis in your hands if you are not an entrepreneur at heart and if you lack the relevant knowledge and skills required to effectively handle such problems.

1. Structural Problem

You will be faced with a lot of issues from the outset that are purely structural in nature. If you don’t understand what I mean by structural problems, I bet you already are facing such problems or you are about to face them and won’t know what is wrong. The ability to execute your technical competence very well doesn’t confer organizational skills on you. Organizational skills are what it takes to build an organization in a way that puts the odds in your favor. Let me put it like this: you need two kinds of companies not one; a holding company and a trading company. Most entrepreneurs are never told when they start out. The trading company trades with clients and customers to make the ongoing profits while the holding company owns the assets in the trading company. If you still don’t understand, ask a lawyer.

2. Financial Problem

By this, I do not mean insufficient capital; in fact I do not belong to the school of thought that money is always the first thing needed to start a business. By financial problem I mean accounting, bookkeeping and financial management tactics. Most people starting businesses do not realize how much they have to do per day. You have to learn how to keep your books, bank account(s) and make financial decisions strategically. This can erupt into business failure and bankruptcy if you violate the laws guiding organizational financial management. I’m not writing to teach you how to do that, but to show you the problems. Visit my blog for that.

3. Sales & Marketing Problem

This can be the most delicate problem of any enterprise as some are facing today. You cannot be an entrepreneur and report that you don’t like selling, you’re not good at marketing or that you’re shy to talk to people. Let me help you out: Go get a job! You are not an entrepreneur at heart; you don’t have the software pre-installed. I always jokingly tell people during conferences that the MD is the Chief Seller, Chief Marketer and Chief Public Spokesman for the company. Those are unabdicatable responsibilities of yours. Brian Sher, in his book What the Rich know and desperately want to keep Secret, advised “Never delegate your marketing and sales to anyone else”. Why? No one can sell what you produce or offer the way you can. Remember, bringing in cashflow is the most important area for any company. If you’re not making profit, you’re not in business. Bradley J. Sugars quipped, “You can cut costs to profit, but you can only sell your way to prosperity.”

4. Employee Headache

Hiring becomes a problem when you don’t know how volatile a recruitment error can be and how lethal its effect can be on the company. Managing people is one of the many headaches that come with being an employer, and if you don’t have the shock absorbers for it, you can go bananas. People remain the number one most appreciable asset of any organization but they remain the number one headache of employers (especially when you hire wrongly). For small organizations, your hiring decisions are very important. One wrong hire out of two payroll staff is a 50% loss to the company and a capital down effect. Pls be guided.

5. Clients Problem

The next terrible set of people you will have to deal with will be clients. I’ve been burned a number of times, so I speak from a standpoint of experience. Many things can go wrong from default in payment agreements to unnecessary difficulty in relating with them and much more. As a rule, it is wise to back all verbal discussions with written and jointly signed documents. And be sure to honor your part of the agreement. Making assumptions on behalf of clients can be a terrible experience too, especially when your staff makes such assumptions on behalf of the company. Client feedback is also a great way to measure yourself but getting that feedback can be a herculean task as most clients do not want to fill forms.

These are just a few problems I have highlighted. My intention with this writing is not to discourage you from entrepreneurial pursuit but to affirm the validity of that pursuit. If you should be an entrepreneur, you must have been reading with a burning excitement and figuring out what went wrong sometime ago. If you read with a broken heart or got all the more confused as you read, chances are you don’t have the software of an entrepreneur in you. You are better off not venturing into the jungle; there are wild ferocious beasts at large.

So, if I am not an entrepreneur at heart and I don’t like having a job, what should I do? I’ll end this article with my answer to that. People in this category are often supporters. They are drawn to entrepreneurship but do not have the spirit of enterprise. They are usually the people who support the entrepreneur. Hey, find an entrepreneur with a vision you are crazy about and support him to the very end. Lay all the cards on the table from the very start; express your desires, expectations and reach a conclusion so that you don’t strain your working relationship later on. Every entrepreneur needs an avid supporter, an undefatigable helper, a trusted second-in-command. That I believe is where you fit into the whole picture.

And if you are not in any of the two categories I have spoken about, stay on your job or make a transition to another job that you will find more fulfilling and challenging. Whatever you do, make sure that you are doing the right thing always.

If you use onions to cook from time to time and is annoyed with the whole onions making you cry then here are a few cool tricks that you can do to stop your eyes from crying when you cut onions.
Why do Onions make your eyes watery?

when cutting through an Onion, the onion cells get cut too which releases a gas that reacts with water and creates sulfuric acid which causes irritation. The eye then releases water to dilute the acid which makes the eye watery.
How to prevent your eyes from watering when cutting onions

The most effective way is to run the onion under water before cutting it. So peel the onion and run it under water before you chop it.

Use a sharp knife (sharp knife cuts the onion cells cleanly and hence less juice is released from the Onion)

Use salt or bread crump on the knife.

Put the onions in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before cutting them

Bevista:
What you wrote in your post is very apt. Nigerians need a paradigm shift towards entrepreneurship. The job you are looking for needs to be created by someone else.
---
As per the quoted text, Banks have been trained to only give loans to entities (individuals / firms) that meet a certain minimum risk profile. While your case may have been unique and your idea would have become a hit, the truth is that the bank cannot know for sure. Trust me, if they start giving loans in that manner, fraudulent Nigerians will exploit that and before you know it, non-performing loans (NPLs) in banks will rise from 5% to over 30%.
---
Maybe government can play a big role here by underwriting the risk, so that banks can have the comfort to lend n@ked to startups without collateral. Now that BVN has been fully implemented, a credible credit scoring systems is necessary for banks to guage default risk of loan applications. Nigerians also need to do away with "entitlement mentality" and start acting honestly to encourage banks to open their vaults. If inflation can be controlled to under 6%, then there is a chance of single digit interest rates on loans.

well yo right, buh as for now getting loan in Nigeria is a nightmare
