Yes, that’s a good amount of transaction volume, but that’s not the only thing IRCC looks at. I could have a balance of ₦7 million and still show ₦300 million in transactions over 6 months — all I’d need is around 42 transfers between accounts to reach ₦300 million in transactions.

In my opinion, ₦7 million (which is about 6,140.12 Canadian dollars) is not enough in cash savings to qualify for a visitor visa.

IRCC is looking for liquid cash and proof that you earned that cash legally.

6,140.12 CAD is simply not enough.

The cheapest flight that doesn’t connect you through the USA costs around 1,800 CAD.

That leaves you with about 4,340 CAD. According to Statistics Canada, the average visitor in Canada spends a minimum of 300 CAD per day https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quotidien/240828/dq240828c-eng.htm — that’s roughly 2,100 CAD for a week in Canada — leaving you with only 2,240 CAD.

And that’s assuming you’re being conservative with your spending.

No one wants to spend one-third of their entire savings just to go on vacation.

₦7 million is a lot of money in Nigeria, but the naira has lost so much value that it’s sad to think about.

If you’re single with no dependents, I’d recommend aiming for a minimum savings of 15,000 CAD to make your application stronger

It all boils down to money: How much do you make in Nigeria, and how much do you plan to spend in Canada?

That means you’d spend your entire monthly earnings in less than 3 days in Canada.

And that’s not even including the cost of flight tickets and other travel-related expenses!

So I own a company here in Nigeria and my company account has over 400m transactions in 6 months and my personal account has over 300m transactions in 6 months as well, my personal account has like 7m in it at the time the visa process was on though money has been going in and out but it never went lower than 7m during that period…

The things that you can use to convince them are:
If the VO is fully convinced you are economically well established in Nigeria. Which is determined by the sufficient supporting documents you submit to show you are gainfully employed for years consistently and well paid, or have a well established striving business. If you fail to do this, you will not be getting a visit visa approved.

Other things to be considered are solid home and family ties.

Your parents’ visa application should focus on them as individuals.

They are coming to attend the wedding and to visit their grandchild, and they have the financial means to do so.

Your fiancée (wife-to-be) will provide supporting documents to show that there is a legitimate reason for their visit — the wedding — and that both your child and your mother are Canadian citizens.

She will also include a statement confirming that your parents will return home after the wedding as they are visitors just for the wedding and to see their grandchild.

The application can mention that you and your wife are both working (submite T4 and employment letter) and are able to host them if needed, but the primary focus should remain on your parents — their reason for visiting and their strong ties to their home country.

Including your asylum documents in the application will likely raise red flags and create unnecessary concerns for IRCC. ( even tho IRCC knows you)

It's a very trickish situation but IMO No, you should NOT include your refugee documents in your parents' visitor visa application.

Why not? Including your refugee claim details alerts IRCC that:

You believe your home country is unsafe. (It depends on what ground you used to file your pending refugee status)

Your parents are from the same country and may also seek to stay.

There’s a risk they won’t return home, which is the main reason visitor visas get denied.

This actually hurts their application, rather than helps it.

Can You Invite Your Parents If You’re an Asylum Claimant?

Technically yes, but practically no.

As an asylum seeker, you do not have legal status to sponsor or support others. that's why Your wife to be is the main applicant

Even though you're getting married to a Canadian citizen, you are not a permanent resident (PR) yet.

IRCC will consider you unstable in terms of immigration status.

Your invitation (refugee documents) carries very little weight until you become a PR.

I have a company and my statement has over 400m transactions in the last 6 months,do you think this is a good amount that can convince the VO?

Are you saying what you think it should be or what the law clearly states?
You also forget that there are single parents that don't have spouses that would be interested in taking their kids along or intl students that their spouses aren't even interested in going to Canada. In those cases, the intl student travel with the kids.

The current revised policy is clear, dependent kids eligible for school still get to travel and study in Canada.
